David K N elson age 89 a resident of Peotone IL passed away peacefully at home Monday December 14 2020 surrounded by his loving family He was born May 1 1931 in Chicago IL Raised in the Evangelical Covenant Church he trusted Christ as his Savior while attending Child Evangelism classes He went on to enjoy many happy years of fellowship at Lansing Gospel Chapel He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force Dave was a long time employee of AT T working as an electronics technician for 40 years before retiring Dave devoted his time volunteering as a counselor and maintenance crew at Lake Geneva Youth Camp Family remained his greatest joy Dave was a devoted husband father grandfather and great grandfather He loved any time he got to spend with his family particularly the many weeks spent at Conference Point Camp on Lake Geneva WI Having a heart to serve others Dave was always willing to lend his time and talents to help his family friends and neighbors A thoughtful kind patient man loved by all he will be greatly missed With the Grandchildren and their spouses in 2015
