Foreword

You have made a wise decision to start team-building. Within your grasp, is the ability to further all aspects of your future. It does not matter whether you are young or old, male or female.

All you have to do is to follow in your success-lines footsteps, accept their advice, persevere and be consistent in your actions. They all started where you are now and they know the way. Follow the successful people. This booklet contains everything you need to know. You will find many practical tips and ‘how-to’ examples which you can follow.

VivaMK is a fast-moving organisation and they are updating their procedures all the time. We will update this information booklet as soon as we have time available to do so - there will always be some changes. Unlike a conventional business where the ‘boss’ jealously guards his techniques, you will find that your sponsors will give willingly and freely all that they know. Without exception, all your success-line want you to succeed.

Finally, this is YOUR business and YOU take it where YOU want to. YOU make the decisions. In other words, your future really is in your hands. As you read through this how-to manual, make a note of anything you do not understand or which requires further explanation. This is where you ‘start to go upline’ for answers.

Decide your approach

Our business is built around a mixture of people. Some join us to earn just £50 - £150 each week. Which is great. Others to earn a full-time income and some to work towards a fortune. If you want to start team-building so you can earn a residual income, then this guide will tell you all you need to know.

Now that you want to build a significant income then you will need to tell other people about your business.  This is where this ‘How-to’ book comes in handy. You may think you need to know a lot of detail about all the different aspects of the VivaMK business but this is a ‘learn as you earn’ opportunity.  This phrase means you learn as you go along even if you have only been in the business one day just jump in and start.

So make a start with your catalogue or online retail and whilst your customers are looking at your products you can work your way through this information. Take your time to read all the information thoroughly and check back regularly for updates.  We would appreciate it if you do not share this information with anyone outside of Team Summit.

Good luck and I hope you find this ‘How-to’ manual a useful guide when team building.

Debbie Gee

Communication

Contact with both success-line and your downline team is an important aspect of networking. When you are new you need to let your success-line know that you are keen to progress. One of the best ways to do this is to phone them regularly.

As you introduce people into the business you should see that they connect with all your success-line so that communications in all respects can be effective and immediate. Our group communicates frequently and most effectively using our Team Summit Facebook group.

Your new distributor should request access, you can not do this for them.

If you live close to a group member, an informal get together over coffee can be very useful in terms of learning and self-motivation.

However, do make prior arrangements if you are calling on your success-line/downline. It is a mistake to intrude on anyone’s privacy uninvited. Share your challenges with someone - the problem will be halved and there may be a simple solution.

Do I make money just by introducing people into the business?

No. When you introduce other distributors into VivaMK you will get a bonus on the product sold by those people by way of volume profit. You receive no payment for the introduction.

How do I learn about the products?

The best way is to use them yourself. All the products which we sell that you would normally use in your home should be bought from your own VivaMK business. If you owned a Ford car dealership you would not go and buy a Nissan, would you?

Can I build a team of distributors without retailing myself?

Theoretically, you can. In practice, you need to learn the business from the ground up. Networking is a duplication business and your team members will do what you do - not what you tell them. Every highly paid VivaMK distributor has started by retailing and has continued to do so, albeit at a reduced level. It’s worth noting that to be an ‘active distributor’ you will need to place an order every three months.

How should I divide my time between retailing and sponsoring?

You must learn how to retail, so for the first four weeks concentrate on achieving the highest possible retail turnover. This will provide you with a powerful story to relay to prospective distributors or team members. After that, you should split your time say 50:50 between retailing and sponsoring.

I am a trained salesperson, so I won’t need to attend training will I?

Yes, you will. Networking is very different from traditional commerce. Although your sales techniques will be very useful, you will need to learn our systems and put yourself in a position where you can teach your downline. In any case, if you do not attend, your downline will not attend either. Remember it’s a duplication business.

Am I committed to any regular payments or other outlay?

There is no commitment to purchase any stock, books, or other training materials. You may, of course, do so if you wish. There will be some overhead expenses as with any business. Later, you may wish to invest in sponsoring activities.

This is your choice.

Frequently asked questions

Page 6

1] Enables you to leverage your time and effort and move more products than you could possibly do on your own.

2] Provides two additional income streams:

a] Volume Profit

When your downline distributors order direct from VivaMK, their sales are added to yours, You can then receive a bonus of between 3 and 10% on the total sales of your personal sales group. (PSG)

When this is added to your 25% commission this would give you up to 35% on your own personal sales.

taking you up to 35% on your own sales and that of your downline distributors in your Personal Sales Group (PSG).

b] Royalty Payments

Receive at least 3% on your breakaway Premier Distributor. It is the Royalty Bonus that produces large incomes. These payments are not related to the time you are putting in now, but are a payment for the time and effort put in previously in establishing and training new “Premier Distributors”

3] Enables you to offer an extra income to anybody that wants one.

Team Building

Why not start talking to people straight away, you will be amazed at how many people you know who are looking for extra money or to top up their current income.

Tell everyone how excited you are about your new business. Just mention you have started a new business venture when you see them and that you are excited to see where it’s going to take you over the next few years.

Promoting Your New Business Venture

Never pre-judge who will or will not join your network.Leave information around your house regarding your businessAlways speak positively about your new start-up venture – you never know who is listening.Remember not everyone will want to join you.  It’s a ‘self-sorting’ business, not everyone is suited to self-employment.

Let’s get started.

We have set everything up for you to get started immediately when you are ready.  If you have friends or family that would like to know more about the business it’s so easy to send them information.

Over the next few pages, you will learn how simple it is to get started.

REMEMBER: Many of these ‘fishing lines’ are working when you are not!

Let’s compare sponsoring to fishing. Some experienced fishermen will fish with more than one rod, obviously increasing their chances of a catch!

Teach your team to ‘fish’ with many rods in order to increase their ‘catch’.

These are the most successful & most cost-effective rods in the pond

The 3-foot rule. This simply means anyone who comes within 3ft of you!   For example, you may ask, "do you know anyone who would like to make money part-time business from home?"

Open Adverts

An open advert would show the name VivaMK and perhaps show the initial cost of registration. This kind of advert is sometimes favoured by new distributors, because the person responding to the advert would be aware of the company, know that we are in the home shopping industry and would know there is a cost.

The volume of responses to this kind of advert is relatively low. Some serious people will not respond because all they see is the catalogue side of the business. They may have no idea about the true potential of the opportunity. Having said that, you could sponsor some very good retailers.

All Adverts which carry the VivaMK name or logo must be vetted by the Company. H will need to see the advert.

You must not exaggerate any income shown if you advertise an income amount. You must be in a position to provide proof of the amounts shown. You may be required to include the ‘statutory wealth warning’ prominently within your advert.

Incomes claimed should be recent—no more than 12 months old.

Blind Adverts

This kind of advert does not show the company name or (usually) the cost of getting started. This approach is widely favoured by long-standing distributors as it will generate a larger number of enquires. Therefore a larger number of respondents can be sent information and can be followed up.

The follow up provides the opportunity to check that the prospect has seen the wider picture of the business. Handling a larger number of responses is good practice for new distributors.

This will help you ‘get good on the phone’

This type of advert will not require company approval

Satisfied Customers

They already have a belief in our products, so they are great prospects for your business. Make sure that you let them know that there is an income opportunity available to them. On several occasions, customers have responded to a local advert and have been brought into the business by someone else, because the distributor who was delivering to them, did not let them know about the opportunity.

You might say something like this to your customers: Mrs Smith you are obviously very happy with our products. I am getting very busy and I was wondering if you happen to know of anybody who might be interested in earning an extra income in their spare time without affecting their present occupation.

Online Information

Information Pack Online

As a member of team summit, you are able to take advantage of all the latest tech advances to help you build your business.

Our microsite www.VivaMKToday.co.uk  is an online information pack that briefly explains our business and shows a prospect simple steps on how to get started.

This microsite is not to replace you speaking to the prospect on the telephone or in-person, it is an introduction to the business and away in for you to speak to them.

You can also use www.VivaMkToday.co.uk on VivaMK branded marketing stationery.

We don’t recommend using it on ‘blind marketing’ material because as soon as the prospect opens the website they will see it is VivaMK and then you could potentially lose the prospect because they could go on and do a google search and find someone else to join.

Let’s look at how best to use this information site.

Use this information site when friends, family or work colleagues ask about your business. We refer to these as the warm market as you know the person.A cold market prospect requests more information about your opportunity after placing an advert. (Cold market prospects are ones you do not know)

You can ‘drip feed’ people when sending out your regular emails too, this is another excellent way to promote your business. You will be very surprised who responds and looks at the information. This is a great source of free leads.

You can find out how to do a signature in your email settings. If you need further support, please see the example in blue text below.  A signature on your email looks professional and enhances this image you are trying to portray.

Google and YouTube are excellent information sources too: type in your email client, for example, Gmail and search

Blind Websites & Landing Pages

This means a website that does not mention the company name.  A prospect has to make further enquiries to find out what it is all about.

The reason we use blind websites is that it’s an excellent marketing tool and can generate a lot more leads than a specific company labelled website. The idea behind it is that you can present information to the prospect that they would never have requested, either because of preconceived ideas or simply lack of knowledge regarding our business.

How to get a Landing page

Contact your upline Premier or main team leader.

Or Debbie Gee on 07782 345 935.

You will need to set up a free Wix account. Your Success-line will be able to transfer the FREE landing page template.

Please note: WIX will ask you to upgrade at every opportunity and even offer 50% off. You do not need to do this, keeping a free account will not affect your business.

No website coding required and it is easy to get set up.  We have a short tutorial video to help with this process.

In summary, the first stage to recruiting are as follows:

As part of team summit, you are provided with a free VivaMK information website to help you promote the business. You will find this website here: www.VivaMKToday.comOn request, you have access to a free lead generating landing page to capture all your prospects names and phone numbers. You will be able to set up your own email signature to promote your businessYou should now be plugged into the Team Summit Facebook Group for more support and where you will find regular online zoom training to help you in business

Page 14

When prospects visit a website branded with a company name. There is a strong likelihood that they will go and research the business before filling out the request for more information form.

During their search other distributors websites could be found. This may mean you may lose the lead. For this reason, you will need to build a website that is memorable, really making yourself stand out.

If you are able to build websites this will be a relatively easy task for you. However, please contact Debbie Gee for the latest tips.

Once you have established your business and earning money, we recommend that if you have no knowledge on building websites that you pay for a personalised one to be built, again please contact Debbie Gee for further advice.

We recommend you get a company-branded website once you have completed all other activity in this manual. In time VivaMK will be providing distributors with one.

Company-specific websites can be a very powerful marketing tool when social recruiting. For this reason, you will need to take time to build it and to learn a few extra skills in SEO and marketing.

Shop Window Adverts

Shop window cards are available from www.VivaMKPrinting.co.uk

When placing shop window adverts, you need to have at least 10 adverts out at all times to produce the best results. The easiest way to do this is to set aside a couple of hours once a month and then decide where you are going to put your adverts.

Put them all out in one go, this means that you will only have to do this once a month providing you ask the shop to insert the cards for the whole month (or 4 weeks). The cost of placing shop window adverts can vary from shop to shop. A rough guide to price is anything from £1.00 per week. Many small shops do not charge or request a charity donation.

Usually, larger newsgroup shops are expensive. There are many places where you can place a shop window advert. Do not fall into the trap that many other distributors do and think that you can only place them in newsagents.

Other shops that you can use are - Post offices, garages, grocer shops, Indian takeaways, Chinese takeaways, burger bars, pet shops, wool shops and so on. The list is endless so use your imagination.

You are strongly urged to use the vibrant or glossy cards. They stand out from the rest and are no more expensive. Avoid using crude photocopies.

Page 16

Leaflets & Flyers

Flyers/Leaflets are available from www.VivaMKPrinting.co.uk

One advantage of using flyers is, you can target precise areas where you would like to introduce distributors. Another is that you can use friends or an agency to distribute for you.

It is inadvisable to place flyers on car windscreens (this annoys the driver!) or in public and private car parks as this could result in complaints from the local authorities and the owners of car parks. The reason for this is many people will just remove them from their windscreens and throw them on the ground, causing a litter problem.

The most efficient way to use flyers is:

1. Decide on a specific road or area.

2. Plan a day or time when you are going to flyer it.

3. Post a flyer through each letterbox on your route.

4. Exactly one-week later flyer the same route again.

5. One week later repeat the process again.

The reason the above method is recommended, is that we all get a vast amount of junk mail through our letterboxes and most of it ends up straight in the waste bin. After the second and third time the flyer goes through the letterbox, many people will remember that they received it previously. They think ‘this must be something serious, or they would not be coming back each week. Maybe I had better give this number a call and find out what it is all about.

Leaflets & Flyers

Pauline & Dave at www.VivaMKPrinting.co.uk have been very helpful when printing marketing material. They have been supplying networkers for many years and understand our industry.

Of course, you can use any company of your choice. Pauline & Dave have kindly given Team Summit our own section on their website where you will find we have created a much larger selection of marketing materials - just for summit members. (Ask your sponsor for the password)

I’m a new distributor what should I buy first?

If you are a catalogue retailer we always recommend getting flyers and Thank you for your service Business Cards first. Blind flyers are the best choice for your initial investment. (This means they do not mention the company name) The reason for this is we recommend you use the flyer alongside catalogue retailing. Thank you for your service business cards can be easily left in restaurants, cafe's and handed to people who give you a good service. New distributors find this a great way to approach people.

Top tips for using flyers

Do not place the flyer inside the catalogue pack. Choose flyers that are only printed on one side only, this is so you are able to fold each flyer once in half to make it look like a note as it drops through the door. The outside of the note should not have any writing on it.

Place the folded flyer on top of every catalogue, fold the catalogue over the flyer and put through the door. The flyer on the top of the catalogue will fall separately and give the impression initially they are from different people.

Never be put off by doing this repeatedly every 4 weeks.  Many people do not respond to the first flyer. The optimum results seem to be when the flyer has been dropped 3 to 4 times to the same householder. It is common practise to distribute flyers for years to the same people.

On occasion, householders will place the flyer back in the catalogue when they realise it is you delivering them.  Again, don’t be put off by this, keep delivering the flyers as part of your retail system. [Every month]  You never know when people’s circumstances may change and welcome an extra income. Also, it's has been known that visitors to the household may pick up the flyer and respond.

Do not expect a huge response from flyers sometimes it may seem that it is a pointless task.  We call this, drip-feeding our warm market the business opportunity.  Customers have become some of our best distributors.

Business Cards

A business card is the first impression of your brand.

When you meet someone that could potentially be a great prospect or connection. Would not you want him or her to walk away with a great first impression? A memorable business card does a lot more than just pass on an email address or phone number.

When you make a connection via a business card, you would not want your brand associated with the word cheap or tacky.  A retail store trying to make a great first impression would not create a storefront sign with a piece of cardboard and a Sharpie. Have that same mentality when it comes to your business cards. 'Brand you’ with style.

A good goal is to make a memorable first impression – I'm sure you'd like people to remember your face. If they try to connect with you on social media they can recognise you straight away if you face is on your business card.

Top tips for creating business cards

Stand out, whether it be through the colours you use or your creative flare, leave a mark with your business card. Give people every opportunity to connect with you on all the social media platforms you use. Often a picture placed on the card reminds people who you are and where they met you.

Lead Generating Business cards

This type of card is very different.  It is very much like the blind landing page but on a card. You could leave these cards on public transport, at events, restaurants, coffee shops or in shopping trolleys as an example.  They work very well, fit neatly into your coat pocket or purse and you can take them everywhere with you. They even work well posted through the door alongside the catalogues.  Just like the flyer example, we used above.

The most important part of lead generating is that often you see no results for many, many weeks. You may even think your efforts are fruitless and it doesn’t work. Many people stop during this time so they never benefit form their hard work. The most successful team builders keep going and build momentum, this can often be as long as 90 days before you see results starting to come in.

Car Signs

On average, a typical UK driver travels 13,476 miles per year. That’s 36 miles a day, which means there are a lot of people on the road that could be potential customers!

Gone are the days when people lived, worked and played in a few square block radius. As the UK’s population has surged over the last 75 years, our nation has become more subdivided and our dependency on cars have increased. Consequently, car advertising has become a legitimate form of marketing. One that, if you are a local business looking to attract local customers, cannot be ignored.

It is estimated that during an average day, a car advertisement can reach up to 50,000 impressions. That’s a lot of eyeballs!  In fact, vehicle advertising reaches more people than signposts, radio, direct mail, local group mailers and mass transit advertising. But here is the best part – most individuals say that advertisements on vehicles are actually more noticeable, more memorable and caused them to take action quicker than traditional forms of advertising.

It’s pretty clear that vehicle advertising – window decals or car magnets – are a great way for small and local businesses to market themselves.

For little investment, you can turn your car or van into a mobile advertising board that reaches potential customers and causes them to take action.  Besides, with the advertisement on the side of your vehicle, you won’t mind being stuck in a few more traffic jams!

Here are a few top tips when creating your car sign

Arial, Calibri, Verdana, Tahoma, Helvetica and Lucinda Grande are the best-known fonts for advertising purposes. The obvious rule is to use BIG font sizes. Not only will it allow people to read your message from a far distance, but it will also engage them for a longer period of time as they are approaching the car. Your call to action should be clear and in a large enough font to see from a distance. Using a bright and bold red colour works to highlight this text.

Keep the design simple. Do not give too much for people to read or look at. Short and to the point works best. Remember to use your landing page to capture name & telephone number. We have found great results by asking people to text for information as well.

EXAMPLE: Text the words “INFO’ to 077000 000000

Page 21

Some distributors find that by wearing a badge they can initiate conversations more easily. The choice is yours, but if you wear a badge make sure you have your response ready.

A good response could be something like this:

My job is to show people how to make money and to become financially independent.

Or - Wearing this badge is the only way I know to earn £30,000 a year. (You don’t have to be earning that amount, but it may be the only way you know you can)

Bills & Pre-Paid Envelopes

You are paying the bill anyway so it takes no effort to enclose an excuse me card or flyer. The person opening the envelope may well be bored with their job and could respond.

Companies are always sending us junk mail, so take advantage of their generosity and send them a card or flyer back in their prepaid envelope.

Ask friends and family to save their junk mail envelopes for you - they will ask you why!! This again is a way for you to approach them about the business.

Hot pockets

This is an excellent choice to display your extra income cards or flyers. We have found it easy to staple three sides of the flyer together to form a pouch which opens at the top.  You are able to fan business cards and display them so prospects can take one if they are interested.  Hot pockets can also be purchased from www.VivaMKPrinting.co.uk

Door Signs

Using a 'hot pocket' on your front door is another great way to get a lot of leads.  Place just above the letterbox. Window decal also works when placed right next to the front door. When the postman, couriers or people delivering flyers come to your door they see your sign clearly.

Tear Off Sign

These signs are great to use on a pinboard in hospitals or waiting rooms.

As with Retailing, your success does not depend on who you talk to, but on how many. You need to go through quantity to get quality. The law of averages dictates that if you talk to enough people you will stumble across some superstars.

However, your business is like a pipeline. There is a lag time from placing your advert till the time a prospect actually gets started. There is then another lag time from them getting started till they are successful.

This business is like any other - it takes time to build. It is a marathon, not a sprint. The most important thing is not how long it takes to succeed, but that you do succeed. You need to keep the pipeline full in order to have a steady stream of new prospects and distributors. When you start getting some response, the temptation is to cut down on the amount of activity you are doing.

Don't fall into this trap. You need to keep up a consistent level of activity in order to keep your pipeline full.

Recording Your Leads

As you receive names and addresses of prospects from any source, you will need to write them down or if you are computer literate, record them on say a spreadsheet.

Top tops

Number each lead. If you number your leads it will save you a lot of writing.

Say you speak to a prospect and you agree to phone back in three days, then it is quick and easy to write in your diary ‘‘phone number 123’’

The next three columns you could put a name - address - phone number.

The fifth column shows the source of the lead. (advert, from sponsor, shop card etc).

Next column record what was sent - website  - brochure and the date sent.

Next column leave blank until you have decided not to contact the prospect again (prospect now ‘‘dead lead’’)

Mark with a cross. It is now simple to run your eye down this column and where there is no cross you will know further contact is required.

Last column is for personal notes about the prospect to remind you of the conversation you had.

When you receive a lead via your blind landing page and the prospect has not left a contact number you only have an email address.

EMAIL SUBJECT: Something New!

I believe that you are, or have been, involved in the network marketing industry.

You may have found that many of the companies in this field are short-lived or do not come up to the expectations of their distributors. It is for this reason that I enclose some information on our very exciting business, The VivaMK Network.

If you have networked in the past, you will know that generally, sales are hard to come by or that you have to hold stock. Not with us. VivaMK distributors average £150 sales per week

Active distributors average £200 per week sales, week in week out.  It is because – without face to face contact - we show our product to potential customers dozens of times each day. Our catalogue through the door concept, may not seem very thrilling, but it does produce massive sales.

We also have a very unique system to sell online via social selling and can provide comprehensive training to get your off to a great start.

We know that it is the sales that generate bonus & royalty payments - and to be honest, that is what counts. VivaMK may just be worth taking an in-depth look at to see what we offer.

Yours Regards,

When to follow up your lead

The fortune is in the follow-up.

We recommend you follow up within 12 hrs.  If I know the person is actively looking at the information straight away call within an hour. It’s never too early. You will want to catch your prospect while they are still enthusiastic about finding an extra income. Also, you never know they may be doing their own research and find someone else who is free to speak to.

What to say to a prospect on the phone:- (more training will be provided on zooms and at workshops)

You call your prospect:

Hello is that Jim,   (or is Jim there)

 Hi,  it’s NAME

I sent you the information on the income opportunity VivaMK

I’m just ringing up to see if it is of any interest to you,

[pause for a moment and then say]

and whether you’d like to join.

[stay silent and wait for their answer.]

You have opened the conversation and immediately closed it too.  This works brilliantly, the prospect immediately tells you whether they are interested or not.

It also opens up the conversation to allow them to ask more questions about the business.

When to follow up a lead

Page 31

Not only listen for their reply – listen to their tone of voice.

You will after a few calls gauge who is interested and who isn’t from the moment they first speak.

Practice does make perfect but don’t worry in time the more calls you make – the more you will become more comfortable on the on phone.

You do not have to be an expert on the phone. You do have to make the call though! You may have to make many calls before a prospects answer the phone

Leaving an answerphone message

Only leave a message like the one below.

Hi Jim,

Its Debbie can you give me a quick call on 07782 345 935 thanks a lot bye.

Or if it is a landline number always leave a landline number first then your mobile

Have a cheerful, happy tone …

Be prepared for the callback

Be prepared and ready for the call back when using this answer machine method. It can get a phenomenal response.

Always let your incoming caller go to your answer machine if you are out and about or where you can not give the prospect your full attention – just don't answer.

If you are free to take their call, act casual. Answer with your name.

For example:  ‘Jo speaking’

They will say something along the lines

‘You left me a message to call you’

This is where you remain calm and friendly and say something like;

Ah yes, thank you for calling back may I ask who is this?

When they give you a name:

James,  that’s right, I sent you the information from VivaMk regarding our income opportunity. I was just ringing up to see if it was of interest to you and would you like to join?

You’ll be able to tell straight away whether someone is interested. You can usually tell by their tone of voice.

Let’s just say they come back with the following:

‘No sorry I’m not interested’

Just politely say;

Can I ask you what put you off?

This then opens up the conversation so hopefully, you can alleviate their fears. Usually, they have misunderstood something about the business.

Stories - the way to convert the undecided

The business is ‘sold’ on stories.

If you can tell a story that relates to the prospect you are seeking to sponsor, that person will listen more intently. You will improve no end your chances of success.

How do you acquire stories to draw on?

 1. Read the posts on the team summit and Official VivaMK FB groups. Make notes or record stories as they are related. Eventually, you will have in your mind a host of examples that you can recall at a moments notice.

 2. Attend house meetings sessions, group meetings, workshops and company training seminars. All are full of stories.

3. Create your own story. This is the most important of all. When you are in a position to relate your own story, your voice will carry the enthusiasm and conviction that will ensure conversion. Your first story should be one of personal success at retail.

Remember that an extra £200 per month earned part-time is a fortune to most people.

Larger sums often create disbelief in the mind of a green prospect. £200 per month will buy pay for a good holiday, make inroads into debts, provide the little extras such as weekly hairdo’s and eating out at restaurants. £200 per month is very powerful and you know this can be earned from day one.

4. Sponsoring will evoke fear in prospects. Tell them the story of how your upline group assisted you to sponsor.

5. Become a storyteller and see your business grow beyond your wildest dreams.

STORIES AND ENTHUSIASM SELL THE BUSINESS

*always be approx 10% more enthusiastic than the person you are talking to - any more and you could put them off

Explaining Starter Packs

The distributor speaking to a prospect:

We currently have 3 packs available

You have shown interest in getting started online only. May I ask, do you have a lot of online selling experience?

[PAUSE and wait for their answer]

If they have a lot of experience selling online then it is entirely up to them if they want to get started with the online pack.  But, please attempt to explain the following information for their own benefit.

We have found our most successful online distributors have also distributed catalogues to their friends, family and work colleagues. This has been where their first orders have come from.

Also, local online customers do like to receive a catalogue pack with their order and often leads to more sales.

For an extra £10, it is well worth getting the standard pack. What do you think?

Prospects who want to retail online and via the catalogue.

Always recommend the starter pack to suit their circumstances. This will usually be the Executive Starter Pack If their budget allows.

Please note: we hold comprehensive telephone and recruitment workshops, please ask your sponsor when the next being held.

Whilst on the phone start the process to register your new prospect.  Avoid going off the phone to send the link, keep them on the phone and ask to connect with them on FB (if they have an account).

The reason for this is that you are connecting on Facebook with a prospect who is keen if for whatever reason they do not register, they are your friend on FaceBook still and you can drip feed lifestyle and business posts to them until they are ready to join.

Registering your new distributor

Page 38

Well done on sponsoring your new distributor, now you will want to get them off to a great start and get them earning money straight away.

Welcome your new distributor to the team and guide them to the team summit Facebook group.

It is best to welcome them to the group with a photo and a paragraph about why they joined, we find using their profile picture works well.

Preparing to Zoom

Check your new distributor has a camera for their desktop/laptop/phone.  Book a zoom training to run through the online induction training with them before their catalogue pack arrives.

This can be found on our team resources website: www.TheTrainingRoom.info it is password protected to prevent the prospect looking through the induction without you.

Give your prospect the resources website so they can print off all the stationary needed for the business.

Downloading zoom is easy using the link below.

www.Zoom.us and go for the FREE option only.

New Distributors

Page 39

The universal retail induction process should be held BEFORE the distributor’s starter pack arrives and after the distributor has printed or ordered all of the retail stationery.

The retail induction process can be accessed via the resource’s website The Training Room This is so you can take your distributor through the process on a one to one zoom call.

The zoom call should last approx. 40 minutes.

(Avoid making it too long or your new distributor will get bored)

Zoom Induction

Page 40

Explain to your new distributor that you will take them through the retail induction and they can ask questions after you have finished.

Leave plenty of time for your new distributor to ask questions.

Get them to make notes as you talk them through the process.

The induction process is password protected. This is so your new distributor does not get confused trying to access it without you when downloading the stationary.

You will need to ask you success-line for the password. We do not hold any passwords in our online documents.

We have a full induction training tutorial for your new distributor to view after you have completed the one to one Induction. It is often a good idea to get the new distributor to recap on training after they have picked up their first lot of catalogues. You will find the link to this in the pinned post on our Team Summit Facebook group.

Double click the first option for screen share – this now enables your new distributor to see your screen.

Social Recruiting

Social media platforms such as Facebook, are a great way to start lead generating online. Over 2.5 billion users are on Facebook every month and 75% of those access through a mobile device.  Not all will want to join you but this is a great way to ‘drip-feed’ your warm market your business opportunity.

Some of the information regarding online promoting will change and we will do everything possible to keep this How-to manual up to date.

More in-depth and up to date information regarding online recruiting will be held during our workshop roadshows.

Recruiting on Facebook is awesome

The very best method for recruiting on Facebook that often goes overlooked is to constantly grow your warm market. You need to use Facebook as a contact manager. (Somewhere to store leads)

I think one of the reasons this goes overlooked is because when people get to the point where they’ve exhausted their existing warm market and their business isn’t progressing, they want to get things going again as fast as possible.

This often has people chasing after the “quickest fix” to their problems, which typically means you are trading quality for quantity.  It’s a desperate move that often has you opting-into a bunch of offers that promise you the world, but never deliver the results they promise (or any results at all).

The truth is that any sustainable recruiting strategy that actually works will take time and effort to be successful with.

Generating quality targeted cold market leads will require that you create content on a regular basis and drive traffic to that content.

If you don’t want to constantly be creating content to attract cold market leads, then a great alternative will be to work on growing your warm market.

Page 43

Guidelines

Promoting your business online couldn’t be easier.  You do have to be consistent with all the activities, exactly the same as all the other lead generation you will be doing. Online is no different.

Never set up a second Facebook profile, you should only have one. Facebook will restrict its use and this will go against you.  We will show you how to use one account and configure your settings so you still have the privacy you require.

As a general guide, 90% of what you post on FB should be personal and social. Only 10% should be business-related posts. You will get the maximum benefits if you follow this ratio.

The reason for this is simple: it’s social media, not business media. Facebook wants you on their platform but they also want to keep their members engaged so they stay on long enough to see sponsored adverts from companies paying lots of money to advertise.

It still takes time and effort to meet new people and build relationships, and you will get fewer eyes on your opportunity, but the quality of your prospects will be very high.

Recruiting for on Facebook can be awesome because it’s one of the very few places online where it’s possible to get distributors for your business without having to make calls or speak to people over the phone.

Now, don’t get me wrong – actually having a conversation with someone on the phone is definitely helpful…What I’m saying is that it’s not always necessary when you’re recruiting people you know well.

Why? Because Facebook is one of the few social media sites where you can actually get to know somebody well enough (build trust and rapport) to the point where they’re comfortable joining you.

Remember, 90% of communication is non-verbal. A lot of the non-verbal communication that builds trust, rapport and friendship are not always easily communicated on other social media platforms. But with Facebook, you can integrate images, video, audio, etc. into your communication style.

TEAM BUILDING

How-to Manual

Social Recruiting

Page 44

If you post engaging or posts they consider of value, you will find people engaging with you. Again FB like this and you actually start to rank you as a ‘person of value’ on their platform.

It is entirely up to you whether you decide to do the following but you will find all professional social media mentors and coaches following these simple rules when training networkers on how to get a presence online.

Growing a targeted warm market on Facebook

If you’re going to grow your warm market on Facebook, you might as well grow a warm market that will have the most interest in what you’re marketing, right?

You will want to connect with people who will most likely have an interest in your products and opportunity – that is how you grow a targeted warm market. These are people who share similar interests and goals as you and will be the easiest to relate to.

Social media makes it incredibly easy to find people with similar interests. Facebook groups are, by far, the best place to find these like-minded people, but you can also find them in other groups online, internet forums, Instagram, and other social media sites.

Social Recruiting First Steps

Step One

You will want to get off to a great start, please follow the profile refresh for maximum impact.

Profile refresh:

Take a good clear photo of yourself and use this as your profile picture. Not a picture of your partner, kids or pets. For someone who wants to social recruit and sell online, you’ll need to look friendly, approachable and trustworthy. As a networker, you want to project an image that you are working your business online with a more professional approach.

It is wise to use this same image across all social media platforms.

Your cover photo, this is where you can place photos that are important to you, for example; your kids, pets, hubby etc… Let people see who you are.

Here’s an older video tutorial to help guide you, the principles will still be the same:

Facebook Refresh

Top Social Recruiting Tips

Page 47

TEAM BUILDING

How-to Manual

So how does social recruiting work on Facebook?

What do you say? How do you break the ice?

The first thing we usually do is make a comment on someone's post or reply to a comment they made on a post. We’re looking for people who sound intelligent and have similar interests and goals as us, and we’re looking to create a genuine relationship, so we always make these comments unique, honest, and meaningful.

The next step is to connect with them through a friend request or a follow, and then send a direct message along with the friend request/follow.

The message you can send is typically something simple like:

“Hey, I saw the comment you made on the post in the 'Pilate’s' 'gardening' ' photography' 'wellbeing' group and really liked what you had to say. I thought you’d be cool to connect with.”

Once they accept your friend request or reciprocate a follow, you can message them further. Ask about what they do, talk about your shared interests – just make a genuine effort to get to know them a little better.

Just don’t overdo it. If they act like they don’t want to talk much, then keep the conversation short. You can always pick it up again later.

And remember, your goal is not to pitch or sell them in your conversations, so don’t worry about trying to position yourself or try to drive the conversation in a way that will set up a pitch. People are especially sensitive to those tactics and will likely be able to detect them from a mile away.

Think of it as just two professionals connecting, helping each other out, and sharing their experiences. It’s much easier to connect with people when you think of them as peers rather than as prospects.

*A good rule of thumb to keep in mind for social recruiting on Facebook is that if something would be weird or ineffective in a real life, offline interaction, chances are that it is also going to be weird and ineffective to do online as well.*

Social Recruiting

Page 48

For example – imagine that you walk up to someone at the shopping centre and ask them to be your friend. They say yes, and then you just walk away. Pretty weird, right?

Well, that’s pretty much what you’re doing when you send a friend request out of the blue to someone online and don’t send a message with it.

So when do you bring up your opportunity?

Maybe never.

Remember, your only goal when social recruiting on Facebook is to grow your warm market. Not to pitch or sell them on your opportunity.

Relationships take time to grow. If you do things right, they will eventually ask about what you do and about your opportunity.

The secret to being successful with social recruiting is that you don’t send a link or pitch them on anything until they’ve asked for that

Social Engagement

Here are four posting styles to adopt on your timeline

Lifestyle posts:

For example; in the middle of a working week you are out walking the dog, meeting friends, coffee shops, on holiday, basically anything that makes people wish they could be doing the same too.

Page 50

TEAM BUILDING

How-to Manual

Social Engagement

Fun posts:

For example, these can include business posts that show you are having a good time with a teammate or at business events. Always try wherever possible to project a positive, fun image.

Page 51

Value posts:

For example:

A post which brings value to a social media platform and I can use FB for the example. A value post will rank you much higher on other peoples news feeds. This is because people who bring value (good content) gain a lot of respect and interaction from other members and FB want to keep people engaged for longer.

FB also find people for you to engage with, playing matchmaker, they show your posts to people with a similar interest to entice them to engage. For this reason, you need to pick your timeline subjects carefully.  If you constantly post about talk VivaMk and your business - guess what? FB will find other people who have a common interest in that too. (Other VivaMK distributors)

To be really successful with value posts, pick a subject that gets you the most interaction and comments, preferably something you are passionate about. Become a bit of an ‘expert’ in that field. Whether it be, photography, pets, gardening, baking or cooking. Choose your niche.

Results/Business post:

For example:

A post that talks about the results you and your business are getting. Maybe exciting, fun, sales orientated or to do with recruitment or teamwork.

These posts when done every now and then, gets people very curious about your business. Again, don’t mention the company so much and people will private message you and ask what it is you are doing.

Results Post Example:

“I’ve not been this excited in a long time. Another new person has joined my team to work from home”

“Just picked up a whopping great big order £130 from one customer too. Can’t believe it. I never realised my home business would take off this quickly”

“My home-based business has just expanded into [town] such an exciting time”

Track Your PSG (personal sales group)

It is essential to have a good understanding of what is happening in your VivaMK business because you will need to know if you and your team are on track for achieving the goals and income you all set, if not, you will want to know what action to take!!

It is essential to have enough knowledge of the pay plans because when someone in your Personal Sales Group develops towards the premier level you currently need £3000 of sales outside their business.  This will mean you then get paid on your Premier break-away.

Monthly things you need to know:-

The value of sales needed to hit your next bonus level or level in the career planThe value of sales needed for distributors in your team to  hit their next bonus level, or to achieve the next level in the career plan Who deserves your time and support Who is sponsoring (teach 10 wide minimum) Who is doing substantial personal retail Who has quit Who hasn’t even started yet Who is being ‘truthful’ or NOT working with you Who has challenges with their VivaMK account Who is in whose team

Building Income For Financial Security

We recommend you aim to build 10 active distributors wide for income security. You will need to sponsor more than 10 distributors to be 10 active wide.  From there you will develop your leaders and future PREMIER legs. As New PREMIERS ‘breakaway’, maintain 10 active wide in your PSG for income stability (Personal Sales Group)Be aware that you will need to have the same amount of premiers wide as you do deep to be paid on their business turnover. It’s a known fact - Distributors join and as many as 80% leave for many reasons. It’s a known fact - 20% of people in any organisation do 80% of the work!

If more information is required, please talk this slide through with your success-line.

Whilst the income of your team is a certain route to success, practice and teach your team to achieve a minimum 10 wide when they start to team build, they too will earn money.
