Message page 1 of 3 C-SPAN CORROSION WARRANTY STEEL TYPE MAGZAL ZM310 HOT-DIPPED ZINC-ALUMINIUM-MAGNESIUM ALLOY COATED STEEL APPLICATION STEEL SUB-FLOORS DURATION 30 YEARS – 50 YEARS SUBJECT TO CONDITIONS HEREIN CADSTEEL Pty Ltd hereby undertakes that Hot-Dipped Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium ZINMAG ZM310 STEEL with coating mass ZM300 or heavier (as designated by AS1397:2021) intended for use in C-SPAN floor systems will not perforate or show corrosion to structural failure for a minimum of 30 years from the date of installation under normal weather conditions. WARRANTY PERIOD WARRANTY PERIOD APPLICATION/CATEGORY Up to 50 Years Exterior urban inland greater than 1 kilometer from the high-water mark of "surf" or industrial zones Up to 35 Years Exterior greater than 300 metres from the high-water mark of "surf" or industrial zones Up to 30 Years Exterior from 50 to 300 metres from the high-water mark of "surf" THIS WARRATY IS SUBJECT TO THE FOLLOWING TERMS AND CONDITIONS: • The product must be assembled, installed, used and maintained in strict accordance with relevant guidelines, all applicable industry standards, and the Building Code of Australia current at the date of installation. • All flashings, fasteners or components fixed to or used with the products must be manufactured from materials which are compatible with zinc or zinc alloy coated steels. • All fasteners used for fixing products must offer similar corrosion performance to the sub-floor system. Screw fasteners must all be suitable for ISO 9223 Category 3. • The products, as supplied, must not at any time come into contact with an incompatible material. • To make a claim under this Warranty, proof of original ownership of sub-floor products must be provided. • The owner or manufacturer of the host building grants the right to access the building site to inspect and conduct such tests of the sub-floor during construction of the host building as are necessary, and at any time after a claim is made. Under this Warranty, any issues with the performance of the sub-floor made from the products must be accompanied by consent from any other party affected by Cadsteel’s right to access the defective end product. • Sufficient ventilation under the sub-floor must be evident to protect against condensation or accumulated moisture. • Sub-Floor must not come into contact with soils or deleterious matter of any kind during the life of the Host Dwelling. • The chassis has not been altered, modified or changed after assembly or installation.

page 2 of 3 This Warranty does not cover perforation or corrosion causing structural failure, wholly or partly due to an event or cause beyond the reasonable control of Cadsteel, including without limitation each of the following: • Aesthetic surface corrosion including white corrosion product or red rust on cut edges; • Degradation of the sub-floor as a result of prolonged exposure to the external environment during storage, or erection and the intervening period prior to installation of the structure; • Failure due to the retention of moisture by any adjoining building materials; • Corrosion of the sub-floor resulting from the degradation of other materials, components or corroded fasteners; • Defects attributed to faulty assembly, installation or mechanical, chemical or other damage sustained during transport, handling, storage, erection or subsequent to erection; • Contact with soil, ash, fertilizer, moisture retaining substances, lead or copper and other dissimilar metals, liquid from copper flashings or copper pipes, chemical or other agents, fumes, liquids or solids, green or wet timber or treated timber. • Failure to remove debris and/or allow free drainage of water (including condensation); • Failure to install, use and maintain the sub-floor (including components) in accordance with industry guidelines and applicable industry standards; • Installations subject to severe industrial or unusually corrosive environments at any time in the future; • Accidental or intentional damage by a person or animal; earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, cyclones, typhoons, gales, lightning, hail, fires, flood and other similarly extreme “acts of God”. • Sub-Floor must be separated from any ground moisture by not less than 600mm. • The application of post-applied paint treatments or systems to the end product • This Warranty does not apply to products installed in areas exposed directly or indirectly to corrosive chemicals, acid rain, ash, smoke, dust, cement, asphalt, fertilizers, flame retardants or water retention, high humidity, cold storage, near high heat sources, coal, desert, or where snow falls continuously or intermittently. • Under no circumstances shall Cadsteel be liable for labour costs or other costs associated with any problems related to the defective product or any specific, direct or indirect damage caused by the defective product. LODGING A WARRANTY CLAIM To make a claim under this warranty contact Cadsteel Pty Ltd at P.O. Box 672 Sanctuary Cove Queensland 4212. All claims must be received within the applicable warranty period as set out above. Once your claim has been received, a Cadsteel representative will determine if your claim is valid and if so advise how Cadsteel will attend to the claim. Cadsteel Pty Ltd is not responsible for any costs incurred by you in lodging a claim. Cadsteel Pty Ltd will require you to provide proof of purchase, promptly respond to questions designed to determine the potential fault and follow Cadsteel Pty Ltd advice on rectifying any faults applicable under the warranty.

page 3 of 3 C-SPAN STRUCTURAL WARRANTY Cadsteel chassis systems will have a structural warranty of 20 years from the date of dispatch, when used and maintained in accordance with Cadsteel guidelines as referred to below. STEEL SPECIFICATIONS SUBSTRATE Hot-Dipped Zinc-Aluminium-Magnesium ZM310 STEEL SURFACE CONDITION Spangled SURFACE TREATMENT Passivated & Resin Coated STRENGTH GRADES G300 1. Subject to the following limitations and qualifications set out below. • The chassis must be assembled, installed, used and maintained in strict accordance with relevant Cadsteel Pty Ltd guidelines, applicable industry standards and the National Construction Code current at the date of installation. • All flashings, fasteners or components fixed to, or used with, the products must be manufactured from compatible materials. • All fasteners used for fixing products must offer similar corrosion performance to the chassis. • Screw fasteners must be suitable for at least ISO 9223 Category 3. • All design, fixing, and handling of the system and components should be in accordance with the NASH Best Practice Handbook and the NASH House Insulation Guides. • The chassis must remain dry and not be subject to water exposure from internal or external sources. • Handling methods should be employed to ensure the chassis is not bent, or in any way damaged. • Chassis to be dry and free of any dirt, debris and corrosion prior to installation. • Chassis should not be exposed to welding or welding spatter. • Chassis should be assessed routinely to monitor performance. Should any issues be detected, maintenance should be carried out following the recommendations of the NASH Best Practice Handbook. • With respect to proximity to salt marine or industrial influences refer to the Cadsteel Corrosion Warranty. 2. This warranty does not cover structural failure due to corrosion to perforation wholly or partly due to an event or cause beyond the reasonable control of Cadsteel Pty Ltd, including without limitation each of the following: • Aesthetic surface corrosion including white corrosion product or red rust on cut edges. • Failure of the chassis due to the retention of moisture by any adjoining building materials. • Corrosion of the frame resulting from the degradation of other materials, components or corroded fasteners. • Defects attributed to faulty installation; mechanical, chemical or other damage sustained during transport, handling, storage, erection or subsequent to erection. • Contact with soil, ash, fertilizer, moisture retaining substances, lead or copper and other dissimilar metals liquid from copper flashings or copper pipes, chemical or other agents, fumes, liquids or solids, green or wet timber or treated timber. • Failure to install, use and maintain the chassis in accordance with industry guidelines and applicable industry standards. • Installations subject to severe industrial or unusually corrosive environments at any time in the future. • Accidental or intentional damage by a person or animal; earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, • Cyclones, typhoons, gales, lightning, hail, fires, flood and other similarly extreme “acts of God”. 3. This warranty does not include:- • Labour costs associated with the removal of any defective end product, or installation of replacement products are not the liability of Cadsteel Pty Ltd.
