Flaming- To send a deliberately mean-spirited message to others on the internet.


P2P- Peer-to-peer is the communication model which allows each party have the same capability and either party can initiate a communication session.


Phishing- A form of fraud that the attacker uses an email to send a virus through a website.


Podcast- A digital audio and video recording usually a themed series that can be downloaded.


Aggregator- A website or program that collects related items of content and also display links to them. 




1. Never give out your password.

3. Create a password that is easy to remember but hard for other people.


4. Make the password at least 8 characters long.


5. Include numbers symbols and capital letters.


6. Don't use dictionary words.


7. Don't post it plain in sight.

Bootlegging - taking and selling illegally copied recordings


Camcording - sneaking a recorder of some sort in the movie theater and record the whole movie.


Copyright - Never repeat someone else's original work.


Digital watermarking - anti copyright sstem which allows to know what is pirated or not.


DRM (Digital Rights Management) - software that allows to track pirated information.


ESA (Entertainment Software Association - people that fight against gaming piracy


Fair use - using media for school projects but use it in a correct way.


Infrigement - disobeying the law.


Innovation - a new invention and/or idea.


Intellectual property - an innovation that is now published


IP Address - a random barcode that shows infromation of the computer.


ISP (Internet Service Provider) - people that connect you to your internet.


MP3 - digital music files that is most likely found in every music player.


Digital Piracy 

1. Never give out personal information such as address and phone number.


2. Never send innapropriate pictures online.


3.Never meet with anyone you don't know ask parents first.


4. Never give out passwords even to your best friends.


5. Be a good online citizen and never hurt others.


6. Be careful on what you download online.


7. Tell parents if you feel uncomfortable.


8. Don't respond to uncomfortable messages always ignore them.



Social Media 

Cyberbullying is when you use electronic communications to bully another human being.


1. Know the sites your kid is going on ask them where they are going.


2. Ask a friend to follow your kid on social media.


3. Ask for their password just in case of an emergency


4. Have sense of what they do online with texts and messages


5. Install parental control to make sure they don't go to any other innapropriate websites.


6. Block the person cyberbulling.


7. Don't foward cyberbuyyling messages.


8. Keep track of evidence of the cyberbullying.
