PILOT PROTOTYPE STORY BRICK Combining augmented reality sensors and oral histories STORYBRICK is a community storytelling project that places community stories in the digital ether as vehicle for claiming public space in the spatial environment and building decentralized community owned communication and data networks We collaborated with Shelf Life Community Story project to activate a prototype brick sensor and AR trigger and app with the stories of current and former residents of the predominantly African American neighborhood in Seattle that was once red lined by discriminatory housing practices

PILOT PROTOTYPE EMBODIED NARRATIVES BeAnotherLab was in residence with Creative Exchange Lab in locations throughout Seattle to inspire and catalyze a city wide community story project of expanded media narratives using virtual reality and traditional media based on the BeAnotherLab model of LIBRARY OF OURSELVES EMBODIED NARRATIVES We performed body swaps embodied narratives and led presentations workshops and discussions with potential partners

PILOT PROTOTYPE PUBLIC TENDER Central to the work of Creative Exchange Lab is experimenting with new financial instruments and models to facilitate investment in the intersection of public art public interest technology with open source collectively owned research During the pilot we issued to lab participants the Creative Exchange Lab unit 1 0 a thought experiment in creative economics in which value is measured by human and community well being

POP UP PROGRAMMING To expand the reach of our programming we worked with partner organizations to bring Creative Exchange Lab workshops presentations and thinking to neighborhoods throughout Seattle THE GROCERY embodied narrative workshop body swaps SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY presentation conversation about building citywide expanded media community storytelling project YESLER TERRACE ART RESIDENCY embodied narrative workshops with youth programs Yesler Terrace Residents and artists in residence UW COMOTION LABS embodied narrative workshop body swaps ANTIOCH UNIVERSITY BeAnotherLab presentation

IMPACT Over 300 people attended Creative Exchange Lab pilot opening and closing events learning about the pilot projects and meeting the artists in residence Over 2500 guests of Pacific Science Center came through the EMBODIED NARRATIVES OF SILICON RAINFOREST many experiencing for the first time the potential of this technology to illuminate new insights into human experience and our relationship to the natural world
