Creative Beginnings Preschool Newsletter October 2021 Director Kelly Morihlatko P O Box 859 Arnold MD 21012 Happenings 410 647 9224 creativebeginnings outlook com www creativebeginningspreschool org Oct 6 7 Oct 13 14 Oct 25 Oct 28 Oct 29 Wednesday Thursday Pajama Day Wednesday Thursday Lunch Bunch Ice Cream Social Monday CLOSED Thursday T TH Classes Halloween Parties Friday M F MWF Classes Halloween Parties Masks Art to Remember Please remember to put extra maska in your child s backbacks We will put the dirty ones in brown paper bags so when checking the backpacks you will know to replace the used ones Our school is participating in an Art to Remember program A large variety of products are available displaying your child s artwork These products make unique personalized holiday gifts that will be enjoyed for years to come Please know that you are under no obligation to make a purchase You will be receiving a custom brochure and order form that you can send in to order your keepsakes The forms are due Monday November 15 2021 Halloween Parades We invite you all to join us for our Halloween parades for our 3 and 4 year holds On the day of your child s parade please send them to school dressed in their costumes over their school clothes Please do not dress your children in scary costumes as we want the day to be enjoyable for everyone Toy weapons are also not permitted After dropping your child off you can wait in the parking lot for the Halloween parade to begin Once the parade is over you are invited back to the classroom to take a class picture help the children remove their costumes and then take the costumes home with you Our 2 s do not participate in the parades Lunch Bunch Program Our lunch program is up and running and the children have really enjoyed it If you would like your child to attend lunch please send them to school with a lunch and either 7 00 or a lunch ticket which can be purchased through the office We also ask that your child s name be clearly marked on the outside of their lunch box bag and any food allergies be noted on the bag as well Please do not send in grapes gummy snacks or any other choking hazards 1
Newsletter October 2021 Car Cards Car Line Drop Off Pick Up Lunch Bunch Ice Cream Social Please remember to hold up your car sign for us to read in the car line when you are picking up your children Drivers need to pull all the way up to the first available staff member when dropping off and picking up children Your child should be unbuckled so we can remove them from the car quickly When picking your child up please do not buckle them in their seat while in the car line Pull into an empty parking space to buckle your child in their safety seat to help keep the line moving If there are no available empty spots the church parking lot is also available for your use We will be serving ice cream cups on 10 13 10 14 at Lunch Bunch and Extended Day Lunch Staying for lunch is a great way for the children to meet new friends Passing in the car line is never acceptable If you decide to walk your child into or out of the building please remember to walk around the perimeter of the parking lot so that no one is walking between parked cars with their engines running Also bring your car card with you if you come to the door to pick up your child Every staff member is not familiar with what child goes with what parent and we want to keep everyone safe Please do not get out of your car while in the carpool line Volunteers We greatly appreciate your help with these matters Playground Please remember to send your children to school wearing shoes that are appropriate to play on the playground It is not safe for them to play on any of the playground equipment if they are wearing crocs flip flops clogs or shoes with slick leather soles Shoes with rubber soles or tennis shoes are the best choice Also now that the weather will be changing please make sure all clothing items coats sweatshirts hats mittens etc are marked with your child s name in them Thank you for your help with this matter 2 Looking for 2 parents who can help on October 20 and 21 for picture day one for each day Please contact the office if you are able to help Toys Needed We are in need of castle people and matchbox cars If you are cleaning out and would like to donate then to the school we would greatly appreciate them
Newsletter October 2021 Thanks Once again we would like to thank you for choosing Creative Beginnings Preschool for your child to attend We are enjoying getting to know your children better and watching them grow in their new experiences and friendships Science News from Mrs Kilpatrick In October we will be looking for signs of Autumn everywhere We will learn how trees grow and what makes their leaves change colors The 2 s and 3 s will sort pumpkins by size and color while the 4 s make a pumpkin book about the parts of a pumpkin Making applesauce is always a favorite activity in this unit as well Ask your children what signs of autumn they see when you are out and about We are a ministry of 3
