CREATING OPPORTUNITIES FOR MPT/WITNESS TESTING • Type in the job number in Salesforce • Click on Active job, copy the scope in the job • Click Create Opportunity on the top right of the job. Add number of units and pricing to scope – you can also copy and paste from the project and edit accordingly. Or 2024-2026 Or 6/1/2024
• Click on the location and check the devices, testing dates, job they’re linked to and elevator type (traction, hydraulic or roped hydraulic) NOTES: Traction and Roped Hydraulic elevators require Category 5 Testing Hydraulic Elevators, Escalators and Wheelchair lifts DO NOT require Category 5 Testing. Wheelchair lifts, dumbwaiters and “v” units do not require a Category 1 test but they do require a PERIODIC INSPECTION Although wheelchair lifts do not require a Category 1 test, some clients request we still witness it, if you see we witnessed the unit that previous year, please include it for the year you are proposing. NOTES: In the Account to Invoice field in the project, if the field says “The company name address” that usually indicates there is an entity there and they want their proposals addressed differently. Also, there may be critical notes on the top of the job or opportunity that pertains to MPT/Witness Testing so just look for that. • Once you confirm the # of devices, add them to the opportunity. You can either click select all or only select the devices you want to add to the opportunity
When you add a wheelchair lift, “v” unit, or dumbwaiter, it will ask you what services you want for that unit. Please select which services you are adding for that unit. • Then scroll down so you can see the Scope Description and click Add Services on the top right. ▪ Click Code Compliance Services >> Mandated Periodic Testing >> then you can edit the pricing and if the QCE is annual, semi annual or quarterly. $475 for Category 1, $775 for Category 5 and $275 for the Quality Control is the default rate in salesforce so if the pricing is that then you do not have to change anything. If the pricing is different, you will click Change Standard MPT Rates Last step is to copy and paste the opportunity # and put it in the spreadsheet Standalone rate will always be $150 more than the QCE w/ MPT rate
