Option 1: Flying into San Jose 1. Choose an early morning flight that gets you into San Jose around 12:00-2:00 p.m. For your return, youwill want a mid-afternoon flight. 1:30 or later if possible. 2. Book your regional flight to Tambor. We recommend Sansa Airline. Be sure to give yourself enoughtime to get through customs and immigration and re-enter through security for this flight. 3. Make sure that you have at least 6 months from the date of departure left on your passport. If not, youwill have to renew. Option 2: Flying into Liberia (best for anyone who hates taking little planes or who wants to see the incredible landscape of Costa Rica) 1. Check out ZumaTours.net. These have shared and private shuttles. The main shuttle leaves every dayat 9:00 am, so you would have to fly in the night before, but you can book private service through them ora number of other companies. 2. Book your flight to Liberia based on your shuttle service time. 3. Liberia is a small, beautiful airport, and flying here offers you stunning views of the Costa Ricancountryside as well as drives through cool, little villages.
