DESIGN PROCESSGIORGIO ARMANI RETAILBLOCK DIAGRAM MEDIA: Google slidesABOUT:4th Semester Studio class focused on retail design. After selecting a high end clothing brand, the journey fordesigning a new store began. CONCEPT:To create a design that has a calming environment. Allowing one to enjoy the space and shop without anyoverwhelming presence. Along with this the design it still be sophisticated and clean. With the use of neutralcolours such as beige. With the use of warm and cool tones the store design will be very inviting. Which will alsoplay along with the timeless design theme that Armani adores. There will be a strong use of lines and movementto help give it an organic nature. Another aspect that will be emphasized throughout the design is Armani hasbeen contributing to the environment and how the materials he uses effects the environment. The design will becreated with environmentally clean and sustainable materials. 2

Alongside the sustainable design there will a new section in the store. This section will be called the Vintage andPre Owned line. This will allow clients to come in and have the chance to buy some of Armani’s vintage items thathave been pre owned. This reduces a large amount of any environment impact that would have taken place if thegarments were made from scratch. It allows for more unique items that cannot be found otherwise. Clients willalso have the chance to see their own vintage Armani that have been sitting around and allowing them to berehoused and reused. After that we had to take those tiles and render them onto a floor plan. I used presentation boards to put all thewhole project together to present. The presentation boards really helped us understand how to present our final designs tofuture clients. DESIGN 1: 8MATERIAL BOARDRESIDENTIAL

NMDESIGNSCONCEPT:This assignment was givento the class to help us learn aboutrhythm and emphasis. I used the bigacorn on the top left as a starting pointfor the viewers. It is emphasized themost in the drawing. The branches andsmaller acorns help the viewer's eyesmove across the page creating rhythmtowards the slightly small acorn that hasa shade of green which help created itsown emphasis.re. explain project CONCEPT:For this class assignment we were told to find something in nature and show it transitioning into a light fixture. Thishelped us learn about shape and form. I chose a beehive. SHAPE AND FORMMEDIA: Pencil crayons and fine tip markersRHYTHM AND EMPHASIS MEDIA: Pencil crayons and fine tip markers19
