• Free (with permit) Parking at Cajun Field: Commuters have the option to selectthe free commuter parking permit and ride the UL Lafayette transit buses tocampus. Students should arrive at Cajun Field at least 45 minutes before class. Click here to see the transit schedule (Fall 2021 schedule will be available soon).• Girard Park Circle Parking Tower Permit: This on-campus parking permit may bepurchased through ULink for $325 per semester (permits must be renewed eachsemester). This location offers 900 guaranteed permit parking spaces on floorsthree through six. These do sell out quickly due to the fixed number of parkingspaces for this area.3COMMUTER STUDENTS HAVE THEFOLLOWING PARKING OPTIONSHOURLY PARKINGOn-Campus Locations: The Girard Park Circle Parking Tower (floors 1-3) areavailable for hourly parking. The price is $5 for the first 2 hour minimum and $1per hour thereafter. Two payment options for this location include: the kioskslocated by the elevators and stairs or the ParkMobile app. The second on-campus hourly parking lot is located at the corner of UPA Drive and SouthCampus Drive (near Cajun Village Apartments). Hourly parking is allowed insidethe lot from the corner to the ParkMobile signs. Payment for this location is onlyavailable through the ParkMobile app.Near-Campus Locations: Three hourly parking lots near campus are located at101 Mildred Street, 119 West St. Mary Street (behind the Burger King) and 333East University Street. Payment for these locations is only available through theParkMobile app.Hourly parking is available daily at two on-campus locations and three near-campuslocations. Additional hourly parking options are available after 4:30 pm daily. These additionallots include areas reserved for employee permit only parking during the day. 4HANDICAP PARKINGAny individual who requires special accommodations for handicap parking oncampus should contact the Office of Transportation Services and provideappropriate state issued credentials in order to obtain a handicap parkingpermit. Vehicles in handicap spots without displaying the proper state issued credentialswill face a $300 citation from the University and may be immobilized or towed atthe owner’s expense. If immobilized, a $100 fine is added to the balance due andall fines must be paid prior to removal.VISITOR PARKINGGuests may pay at the kiosks to park hourly in the Girard Park Circle ParkingTower first through third floors or any of the ParkMobile lots. For moreinformation about ParkMobile, visit ParkMobile at UL.Free 30-minute parking is available in the side lot of the Student Union.Transportation Services utilizes virtual parking permits and LPR (license platerecognition) for enforcement. Decals and hangtags are not issued. License platerecognition software is used to identify parking privileges in all locations. Whenregistering for parking on campus, it is imperative that the plate number is enteredcorrectly. 5IMPORTANT PARKING REMINDERSParking regulations remain in place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Any parked vehicle must be registered with the Office of TransportationServices or parked in one of the pay-by-the-hour zones with time paid. A vehicle may be immobilized or towed after it has accumulated three unpaidcitations. CAMPUS SHUTTLE337-482-5305. The University provides transportation from main campus to the satellite facilitiesof Bourgeois Hall and Cajun Field. View the most up-to-date transit schedule onlinehere. On-Call Shuttles are also available, during specified hours, by calling LIVE BUS TRACKINGAll buses are equipped with tracking devicesthat allow students to see live informationon bus locations. Download the official ULLafayette app and select “Track Buses.”Select the type of route you would like andyou will see all buses on that particularroute along with all stops associated with it.You can get estimated times of arrival forany of the stops.
6BICYCLE INFORMATIONUL Lafayette is a bike-friendly campus offering special bike lanes on St. Mary Blvd.and multiple bike racks across campus. All bikes on campus must comply with staterequirements and regulations. Students must have lights and reflective materials ontheir bikes, and should only ride on streets and not sidewalks. Read more about theRules of the Road for bicycles, and be sure to have your student register their bike.Other rules include:Bicycles must be secured to a bike rack. Individuals are encouraged to use a U-bolt lockas they are the most secure.Bicycles cannot be secured to handrails, fences, trash receptacles, trees, trip rails, signposts or anything other than a bike rack.Bicycles not properly secured to a bike rack will be impounded by TransportationServices.Bicycles that remain in bicycle racks or other places 7 days after the end of the semesterwill be impounded by Transportation Services. Bicycles that remain unclaimed for 6months will be disposed of according to State of Louisiana rules and regulations.
