Additionally, this division supports hundreds of community events throughout the city on an annual basis. Big Spring JingleFriday, Dec. 8, 5-8 p.m.It’s going to be a jingle jamming good time at Big Spring Park when Huntsville Parks & Recreation, Downtown Huntsville, Inc. and the Huntsville Museum of Art host Big Spring Jingle from 5-8 p.m. on Dec. 8. There will be holiday-themed lighting, music and a dance floor. Festivalgoers can also enjoy Skating in the Park in front of the museum and get dinner from the food trucks on Church Street. Even Santa is taking a break from the workshop to attend, so be sure to get a picture with him. With his arrival, there could be a chance of flurries!

Over the last 13 years, the festive holiday trail has become a beloved family tradition, attracting thousands of people from across North Alabama and beyond. The 2023 event will include more than 400 live trees, creatively decorated by community groups, businesses and nonprofits. Hosted by Downtown Huntsville Inc. and presented by Meta, it will take more than one visit to appreciate all the details! The trees are available for free viewing day or night, seven days a week. It begins Nov. 24 with the lighting of the Mayor’s tree at 6 p.m.Community Kite FestivalSaturday, March 2, 11 a.m.-3 p.m.Join Huntsville Parks & Recreation, the AshaKiran Foundation and City of Huntsville’s Oce of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for the 12th annual Community Kite Festival on March 2.
