Season combined limit 6, with no more than 2 red foxes. River Otter: No daily limit, season limit 6. Badger, Mink, Muskrat, Opossum, Weasel: No limit Beaver, Raccoon, Nutria, Coyote, Striped Skunk Year-round No daily, season, or possession limit. Mountain lions and Swift Fox cannot be harvested within the Reservation. *No person shall hunt or harvest bobcat, fox, or river otter without first having procured a free permit from the Choctaw Nation Department of Wildlife Conservation (CNDWC). Jackrabbit: Cannot be taken within the Reservation.SQUIRRELS Fox Squirrel & Gray Squirrel May 15 - Feb 28, Open to falconry year-round Daily Limit: 25 fox and gray squirrels combined per day, 50 in possession after the first day.FERAL HOGS (Year-round) See Code for any restrictions.QUAIL Bobwhite & Scaled Nov 12 - Feb 15 Daily Limit: 10 daily, 20 in possession after the first day.DOVE Mourning, White-Winged & Eurasian Collared Sept 1 - Oct 31 • Dec 1 - Dec 29 Daily Limit: 15. May consist of any combination (aggregate) of mourning, white-winged, and Eurasian collard doves. However, there is no bag limit on Eurasian collared doves provided that the head or one fully feathered wing remains naturally attached to the carcass of all such birds while being transported to their final destination.

Mergansers are included in the duck daily limit.Migratory game birds are controlled by federal law, federal bag limits, and seasons vary occasionally. e Choctaw Nation recognizes federal laws as pertains to dove, rail, gallinule, woodcock, and common snipe.TURKEY Season limit is 1 tom turkey, regardless of method of take. Holiday Antlerless Deer Gun Dec 18 - Dec 31 Limit: 2 antlerless deer.DO YOUR PART TO SLOW THE SPREAD OF CHRONIC WASTING DISEASE Proper Disposal of CWD Positive Cervid Burial on site: Whenever possible, deer and elk carcasses should be buried on the property where they were harvested. Burial should be deep enough to prevent exposure to the surrounding environment by scavengers. Leave in place: If burial is not possible where the deer or elk was harvested, the remains may be left on site. If CWD is already present on the property, prions are already present in that environment. Choctaw Nation Department of Wildlife Conservation will be doing CWD testing within the Reservation. Who is eligible to hunt and fish within theChoctaw Nation Reservation?Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma tribal members are eligible to hunt and fish within the Choctaw Nation Reservation in accordance with tribal laws. Also, nonmembers with valid state-issued licenses are eligible to hunt in the reservation in accordance with applicable laws.What document(s) do Choctaw Tribal members need to have to hunt and fish?Proof of Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma Tribal Membershipcard for members over 15 and proof of hunter safety course for ages 10-30.What if my Tribal Membership card has expired orhas been lost?Contact the Choctaw Nation Membership Departmentwith any questions regarding your tribal membership card.HUNTING & FISHING FAQ

Where does a Choctaw tribal member get deer or turkey tags?You are not required to pre-purchase tags but are required to report your harvest via Chahta Achvffa Member Portal.Where does a Choctaw Tribal Member get a Duck Stamp?Duck stamps are federally regulated, and federal guidelines will still apply. Duck stamps can be purchased at any U.S. Postal Office.Do Choctaw Tribal Members have to reside in Oklahoma to hunt and fish on the Choctaw Nation Reservation?No, all Choctaw Nation Tribal Members, regardless of residency are permitted to hunt and fish within the Reservation in accordance with Choctaw Nation Code with a tribal membership card.

e Inter-Tribal Council of the Five Civilized Tribes announced in July 2024, the “Five Tribe Wildlife Management Reciprocity Agreement,” which enables Choctaw, Chickasaw, Cherokee, and Muscogee Creek tribal members with licenses issued through their tribe the ability to hunt and fish on each of the participating tribe’s reservations. e Seminole Nation hopes to join soon.Where can Choctaw Tribal members hunt?Choctaw Tribal Members can hunt and fish within the Choctaw, Chickasaw, Muscogee/Creek, and Cherokee Nations with proof of tribal membership. Tribal members must have landowner permission to hunt private land and tribal members are responsible for any entry permits or fees required on public lands.Can I harvest multiple limits on different reservations?No, one aggregate and daily limit applies per person to harvests across all reservations per season and the entire State of Oklahoma.What laws do I have to follow?Tribal members/citizens must follow the licensure requirements of their tribe but must follow the wildlife regulations (e.g., bag limits, season, etc.) of the tribe whose reservation they are hunting, fishing, or trapping.Do I still have to check-in my harvest?Yes, all species with a check-in requirement must be checked-in, and the check-in must be to the citizen’s tribe, regardless of the reservation where the animal was taken.

Do I have to buy tags?Right now, all tags are free on all reservations. Just use the respective licensure from your tribe as your license and tags.Can a game warden ticket me?Yes, state game wardens are cross-deputized and can enforce tribal wildlife laws within each reservation. If an individual game warden is not cross-deputized, a tribal officer will be called to enforce the tribal laws.If I want to hunt off the Reservations of those tribes who have joined this agreement?Outside of the reservations of the parties to this agreement, citizens and members comply with the rules of the controlling jurisdiction—such as another tribe, the State of Oklahoma, the State of Arkansas, the State of Texas, etc.
