At the heart of the Mission is Mrs. Linda, whose dedicationand compassion have made a lasting impact. For 34 years, shehas faithfully served in various roles, including Secretary,Office Manager, and now Financial Controller. Her hard workand commitment have been a steady force, helping theMission grow and thrive over the decades.Mrs. Linda’s passion for helping others is truly inspiring. As aPastor’s wife, she has spent much of her life serving withkindness and grace. Not only did she come to the Mission toserve, but her example inspired both of her daughters tofollow in her footsteps. Her daughter Maria has continuedworking at the Mission for 28 years, carrying on the legacy offaith and service.The entire family is deeply committed to serving the Lord.Mrs. Linda has mentored many throughout the years, and ifyou’ve ever stopped by the financial office, there’s a goodchance she’s prayed with you in her soft, gentle voice.Though she could have pursued a successful corporatecareer, Mrs. Linda chose to dedicate her life to ministry. Her journey began as a student inthe New Life Recovery Program, where she sought healingand restoration. Through determination and faith, Leslieembraced the program and allowed God to work in her life.After graduating, she made the decision to stay and serve.Leslie started her service in our Warehouse, where hercompassion, dedication, and work ethic stood out. Shequickly became a key member of the team, always willing tohelp and offer support. It became clear that Leslie had aheart not only for recovery, but for those who werefollowing the same path she once walked.Now, as the Women’s Program Counselor, Leslie uses herpersonal experiences to guide and support the women inrecovery. She walks alongside them, offering hope,encouragement, and a reminder that healing is possible.Leslie’s journey serves as proof that God can use our past toshape our purpose.We are incredibly grateful for Leslie’s leadership, humility,and the love she brings to our ministry. Recently, we had the privilege of hosting 28 faith leaders from across the Wiregrass for a Lunchand Learn session. Our goal was simple: to share who we are, what we do, and how partneringwith us can transform countless lives in our community. We shared how many people have adesire to help others, but don’t know how to practically do that - partnering with us allowsyour finances to go directly toward meeting needs in our community.What started as a 30-minute presentation quickly turned into an hour-and-a-half conversation.These faith leaders were so inspired by the stories of hope and restoration that they eagerlyasked questions and wanted to know more about how they could get involved.In a powerful moment, Rev. Willie White of John’s Chapel AME Church stood up and issued achallenge that sparked a movement. He encouraged the group to collectively find 300 peopleto each give $100 before Easter. With that, the "Love Thy Neighbor" campaign was born—agrassroots effort that has since taken our community and social media by storm.Faith leaders, business owners, and community leaders have not only accepted the challengebut have inspired others to join. One by one, they are stepping up to give and encouragingtheir networks to do the same. This ripple effect of generosity is creating real change—providing food, shelter, recovery services, and hope to those in need.Would you help us spread the word so we can help many more in our community?
