O R D E R O F S E R V I C EChristine Lee Bourn was born August 22, 1942, to Ed and Amie Lee, and peacefullytransitioned on July 5, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She received hereducation in the Jones County School District, graduating from Benson High School.Christine met and married the late Joseph Bourn. To this union four children wereborn, Anita, the late Joey, Patrick, and Linda.Christine worked at Phoenix Laundry for many years and later opened her home tomany children in the community, offering childcare services. During those years, sheattended the Mississippi Baptist Theological Seminary where she received multiplecertifications and a degree in ministry education.Rev. Bourn was a devoted member of Shady Grove Baptist Church, served in manyministry capacities, and later joined the custodial staff. She accepted her call to theministry and was ordained as a licensed minister by Rev. Dr. R.W. Woullard, Jr. onJune 4, 2003.She was preceded in death by her parents, Ed and Amie Lee; her husband, JosephBourn; her son, Joey L. Bourn; her brothers, Early B. Lee, Freddie Lee, Rev. T.C. Lee, EarlTheodore Lee, B.C. Lee, Rev. Willie Grant, John Grant, Richard Grant, and James Grant;and her sisters, Jimmie D. Wilson, Ethelean Brown, Missionary Dorothy May Williams,Vernice Roberts, Annette Musgrove, Thelma Floyd, and Vallie Mae Dixon.Christine’s memories will forever be cherished by her two daughters, Anita F. Bournand Linda M. Bourn; one son, Patrick M.
