“Make your donation phones really sing with our iWorld Beauty Box fundraising program. It’s a new and exciting way to enhance the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitalsradiothon fundraising efforts.”- Katherine Ragusa, Advantage Co CEO
Introducing our iWorld Beauty Box.In April 2015, TW&Co launched our first limited edition beauty box for the Kiss Cares for Kids Radiothon. The beauty boxes were an instant hit and they completely sold out in hours [actually, they were oversold and we had to immediately produce more to satisfy the unexpected demand]. And now KISS 98.5 does the beauty box promotion four times a year. “The limited edition beauty box gave us an opportunity to talk about the Kiss Cares for Kids cause because everybody wanted to know what magical gifts were inside.” - Janet Snyder, Kiss 98.5 celebrity radio hostSince the beginning, Oishei Children’s Hospital has raised over $140k through our iWorld Beauty Box program.
The iWorld Beauty Box is made possible through the incredible support of iWorld Fundraising and TW&Co’s premium beauty brands. Bogavia . Mario Badescu . Caudalie Esteé Lauder . Bobbi Brown . How the iWorld Beauty Box program works.Every beauty box features a sample, travel, and full size selection of only the finest premium beauty brands. The wholesale cost of the product included in our beauty box is $50 and the retail value is $100. But through the generous support of the participating premium brands, TW&Co has been able to reduce the actual cost beauty box to only $20. This means that through the iWorld Fundraising zero-fee marketplace, everything over the $20 cost of the box goes entirely to your Children’s Hospital. Donors have the option of paying the suggested list price of $100 or as little as $40 per box plus shipping. Hopefully, most donors will generously pay the full suggested retail price of $100. This means that 200 limited edition iWorld Beauty Boxes could generate up to $16,000.
With the iWorld Fundraising Zero-Fee Program, 100% of the profit goes to your Children’s Hospital. Additionally, TW&Co provides free fulfillment, while the purchasing donor pays only for the applicable FedEx, UPS, or US Mail shipping charge [which is at a discounted rate]. “iWorld Fundraising is a program that will help all of the 170 Children's Hospitals in the Children's Miracle Network of Hospitals. As a Program Director, my most valuable resource is time. iWorld Fundraising helps me maximize my pre-radiothon fundraising without cutting into that precious time. Additionally, it helps leverage and engage my radio partner and established donors at a higher level.”- Lisa LaTrovata, Program Director, Children’s Hospital of Buffalo Foundation

“The iWorld Beauty Box has been an amazing way to raise money and save lives. I have repeatedly used the beauty box to raise money for Oishei Children’s Hospital through the Kiss Cares for Kids Radiothon because it works and my radio audience loves them [and buys them]! There is a beautiful feeling we get when we all help others and that beauty lives right in that magical box.” - Janet Snyder, Kiss 98.5 celebrity radio host

Message from the founder of the Advantage Co.“In every public health program the aim is not only to perform a given service but to teach the individual positive attitudes toward health which will benefit them throughout their life. The purpose is well stated in an old the old proverb “Give a man a fish, and he eats for a day. Teach a man to fish, and he eats for a lifetime.” R. Sargent Shriver, the founding director of the Peace Corps [see next slide], was a personal hero of mine, and he often cited this proverb as a motivation for his efforts worldwide. Today, this proverb provides the foundation for all of the Advantage Co’s charitable and community efforts. Through iWorld Fundraising, the Downtown Priest Committee, and the Amherst Police Foundation, we have been able to fund, establish, and facilitate organizations that raise money and provide resources far beyond what a single donation could possibly enable. The most ambitious and successful of our efforts is certainly iWorldFundraising.org. All of the Advantage Co resources are donated to the full development and entire ongoing operation of iWorldFundraising.org’s Zero-Fee Marketplace. It is because of the Advantage Co’s donation of all the time, money, and resources required that iWorld Fundraising is able to offer a 100% Zero-Fee fundraising resource for all of our participants. For the past 40 years, Children’s Hospital has been the main focus of our charitable efforts. Whether it was our annual golf tournament or the ongoing Tony Walker & Co events, our main objective has always been to raise awareness and raise money for the remarkable work and service that Children’s Hospital provides our community. I know everyone at the Advantage Co is looking forward to extending our iWorld Fundraising Program to the entire Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals.” - Tony Ragusa
R. Sargent Shriver, was the Kennedy in-law who became the founding director of the Peace Corps, the architect of President Lyndon B. Johnson’s war on poverty, and the United States ambassador to France.Mr. Shriver’s impact on American life was significant. On the stage of social change for decades, he brought President Kennedy’s proposal for the Peace Corps to fruition in 1961 and served as the organization’s director until 1966. He tapped into a spirit of volunteerism, and within a few years thousands of young Americans were teaching and working on public health and development projects in poorer countries around the world. After the president’s assassination in 1963, Mr. Shriver’s decided to remain in the Johnson administration, and, in 1964, President Johnson persuaded him to take on the administration’s war on poverty, a campaign embodied in a vast new bureaucracy, the Office of Economic Opportunity. From 1965 to 1968, Mr. Shriver, who disdained bureaucracies as wasteful and inefficient, was director of that agency, a post he held simultaneously with his Peace Corps job until 1966. The agency created anti-poverty programs like Head Start, the Job Corps, Volunteers in Service to America, the Community Action Program and Legal Services for the Poor. As director of the Peace Corps, Sarge laid the foundations for what arguably became the most lasting accomplishment of the Kennedy presidency. As the Peace Corps approaches its 57th anniversary this year, more than 200,000 Americans have served as corps volunteers in 139 countries.Break mirrors, Mr. Shriver advised graduating students at Yale in 1994. “Yes, indeed,” he said. “Shatter the glass. In our society that is so self-absorbed, begin to look less at yourself and more at each other. Learn more about the face of your neighbor and less about your own.”
