6How it began from the Owners, Kristi and Jim Query… Even though VIYC was officially launched in 2016, the road that led us to this point began in 2012 we first began to researchowning a yacht in the Virgin Islands. Within days, we had signed an agreement and were moving forward with the purchase ofBeing Nauti, a beautiful Fountaine Pajot Lipari 41.From our first sailing trip aboard Being Nauti, we were completely hooked on the Virgin Islands. The combination of crystal-clear Caribbean water, beautiful islands and friendly people convinced us that we would make this our home as soon aspossible. The opportunity to make the leap to the islands finally came in 2015 when we purchased VIBE Charters, a successfulday charter business based in St Thomas. Our passion for being on the water combined with our commitment to giving ourcustomers the highest level of service available on St Thomas has fueled our continued growth and success. As our day charter business continued to grow and we began looking for other opportunities to expand, it became obviousthat the answer was already in plain sight. We knew that St Thomas, and specifically the East End, was in need of a bareboatcharter company that operates with integrity and the highest level of service. From our highly skilled maintenance staff, to ourconcierge team, and all those whose job it is to make your boat perfect for your arrival, we are proud of all we haveaccomplished. Unlike any other company in the US Virgin Islands, we are family owned and operated and are always availableto our valued charter guests and boat owners alike.Above all else, we wanted to surround ourselves with the best possible team to work with us and who shared our vision. Wepride ourselves on running our business with the utmost integrity and we know our entire team does as well. A large majorityof our business are repeat guest who charter with us time and time again. And, I think that says it all.We feel extremely blessed to be living our island dream and look forward to the opportunity to help many more people fueltheir island dreams through Virgin Islands Yacht Charters.Sincerely,Kristi and JimVirginIslandsYachtCharters.com

General Information for Staying SafeTOTAL REVENUE19MOSQUITOES & NO-SEE-UMS: Mosquitoes and other biting insects can be a problem in the BVI, so visitors shouldprotect themselves with insect repellent, particularly during sunset and sunrise. Insects are particularly prominenton beaches and in marinas or anywhere close to the water. After going ashore, rinse the sand from your feet usingthe cockpit shower, so you do not bring the ‘No-See-Ums’ into your bed!JELLYFISH: Particularly during the summer months, when the water is warm, you may see moon jellyfish. Their stingis relatively mild if you touch their underside. If you are stung, do not rub the area, but rinse with vinegar. Thisshould neutralize the sting. If you have an allergic reaction to a sting, CALL 911 and get help immediately.BARRACUDAS: Barracudas are inquisitive fish and may swim up to you to take a better look. They love to sit in theshade under your boat, so take care when jumping into the water. They are not aggressive and do not attack unlessthey feel threatened. Avoid wearing shiny jewelry when snorkeling.FIRE CORAL: This is a brownish-orange coral that looks like a carpet over rocks and reefs. It has a nasty sting. If youaccidentally touch it, rinse the area with vinegar, and do not rub. Remember you should never intentionally touchcoral as you can kill it.MANCHIONEEL APPLES: Manchioneel trees grow along the shorelines, and their toxins can cause a nasty rash. Thefruit looks like a small, green, oval-shaped apple and is poisonous. Do not eat the fruit, and do not stand under thetree in the rain since the leaves also contain the toxin.VirginIslandsYachtCharters.com

Page 23

Continued>>>TOTAL REVENUE20LIONFISH: This brightly colored fish is usually found in coral reefs, especially in shallow waters hovering in caves ornear crevices. Lionfish have venomous fin spines that can produce painful puncture wounds. If you are stung, placethe affected area in the hottest water you can handle.DRINKING WATER: The water in the tanks on your boat is safe to use for brushing your teeth and making tea andcoffee, but we do not recommend it as drinking water, primarily because it does not taste very nice. Purchasebottled water for general consumption.CIGUATERA: This is a serious disease that many reef fish carry in the Virgin Islands. It is found in predatory fisharound reefs, such as barracuda, grouper, snapper, and jacks, as well as puffer fish and parrot fish. Catch andrelease is encouraged unless fishing with a guide.SWELL AND RIPTIDES: If the North swell picks up, particularly in the winter months, be careful when usingyour dinghy. Never try to take your dinghy ashore in such conditions as getting back to your boat could beextremely difficult. If you get caught in a rip tide, try putting your feet down on the bottom to stop you from getting dragged out.If you cannot reach the bottom, do not panic. Swim parallel to the shore until you are clear of the current, usually no more than 100 – 150 ft. When you are out of the current, swim diagonally back to shore, away from the rip current.VirginIslandsYachtCharters.com

AVOID LOSING YOUR SECURITY DEPOSITTOTAL REVENUE21ALL DAMAGES or INCIDENTS MUST BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY - No matter how minor you might consider it:Please call the phone number provided to you at check-in and located on the Incident Report. Complete the Incident Report. Any incident that occurs below the waterline, such as touching bottom or wrapping a prop, will need to be inspectedby a commercial diver. This inspection will be at the charterer’s expense and is $175.BLOCKED HEAD: Unfortunately, thisis a common problem and can really ruin a charter AND ruin the day of theperson who has to unclog it for you. Please use the trash bins provided for ALL products. A good rule of thumb “if it hasn’t gone through you, it doesn’t belong in the head”.There is a blocked head fee of $150, so just avoid it by ensuring your entire crew knows the drill.HIGH WINDS AND LOOSE BOAT CUSHIONS DON’T MIX: Make sure all cushions are secure. They are VERY costly toreplace. One single cushion can run as much as $1500.LOCK YOUR DINGHY: Please use the lock and cable provided while ashore AND onboard. Always keep in mind that you are 100% responsible for the full replacement value of a lost or stolen dinghy, dinghy engine, or dinghy (and/or) engine that has been damaged beyond repair. When tied up to a dock, make sure the engine cowling is not being damaged by washing underneath the dock.Dinghy theft does happen! VirginIslandsYachtCharters.com

Page 25

Continued>>>TOTAL REVENUE22AVOIDING STEPPING ON HATCHES OR INADVERTENTLY SCRATCHING THEM: Please do not step on hatches ordrag boat toy equipment across them. Hatches are quite expensive if we have to replace one. Even a minor crack isreason enough for total hatch repair/replacement. Be careful not to drag a stand-up-paddle board or kayak across them when moving them from the forward deck tothe aft deck. This can cause scratches and other damage to the hatch glass.AVOID TOUCHING BOTTOM IN ANY WAY WHATSOEVER: Do not rely on your charts because major weatherevents can shift the sands. Allow an additional 3-foot clearance when in shallow water. Always keep an eye on BOTH sides of your boat. Rely on your crew to act as spotters for you. HATCHES: Please ensure the hatches are closed when leaving the boat. It’s very common for an unexpected squallto form, and you don’t want your bed to be soaked with rain. STOW YOUR WATERS TOYS WHEN AWAY FROM YOUR YACHT AND ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT: Stand-up paddles andfloat mats can easily drift off during the night OR be an easy target for someone to steal. You will be 100%responsible for the full replacement value of any of these items, NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCE.EASY STEPS TO AVOID PROP WRAP: Do not drag your dingy behind the boat. Keep it secure on the davitswhen in motion. Make sure all lines are secure. Approach moorings into the wind. If you miss a mooring, let the wind blow you off, keeping the engine in neutral until you can see the ball again.VirginIslandsYachtCharters.com
