STATE-OF-THE-ART FACILITIES4College of Fine Arts / Facilities and Performance HallsClick the areas below to discover some of the state’s nest facilities for the performing and visual arts:Art and Journalism BuildingAectionately known by students as “AJ,” the building features over 57,000 square feet of space for the School of Art, including state-of-the-art studios for virtually every artistic medium throughout its four oors. The building also includes the Ned and Gloria Griner Gallery, which exhibits work by students, faculty, and visiting artists.Marilyn K. Glick Center for GlassOur premier glass facility. Generously funded by the Glick Fund established by Marilyn and Eugene Glick, the center’s studio spaces, equipment, faculty, and sta support a broad spectrum of dynamic courses in contemporary glassmaking and community outreach and education about the glass arts. Sursa Performance HallBeautiful to look at and a cornerstone of Ball State’s Music Instruction Building, Sursa Performance Hall was designed to bring performers and audiences closer together. Its acoustical tuning capabilities allow performers to adjust the hall’s sound qualities to suit their individual preferences in minutes. The hall also functions as a recording and rehearsal space.Emens AuditoriumOur largest performance space on campus, Emens Auditorium has played host to world-renowned artists, individuals, musicians, and shows since it opened in 1964. The space is home to University Singers and the School of Music Jazz Ensembles, and has seen the likes of legendary performances from David Letterman, Cats the Musical, the Chicks, and more!Performing Arts Center — Opening Fall 2026The new Performing Arts Center will reside next to The Village (just southeast of campus), creating a best-in-class, multigenerational district driven by arts and culture, entertainment, and innovation with a new boutique hotel and new dining, retail, service, living, and gathering options. The Performing Arts Center will generate more than 160 performances annually, and include a scene, costume, lighting and sound shop, three dressing rooms, a green room, a 4,000 square-foot exible black box studio, and more!

6EXPLORE HISTORY AT DOMAThe David Owsley Museum of Art features over 11,000 works of art representing 5,000 years of civilization. Opened in 1948 within the Fine Arts Building, the museum provides educational programming and exhibits to further faculty, sta, students’, and the community’s understanding of the museum and its collection.
