We instituteda series of COVID specific, complimentary webinars toVAGD members to create community, share commonexperiences, and navigate through new challengespresented to the general dentist. Experts were foundin various disciplines who were informative andprovided a wonderful format for virtual learning andconnection.The opportunity for virtual learning will now be apermanent part of our core offerings for members, inaddition to our outstanding in-person CE schedule.This Spring, on-demand, virtual CE courses will bemade available through "Virtual VAGD" on theVAGD.org website, empowering members to earnquality, discounted CE at their convenience.In addition, we are excited to launch an entirelyvirtual Mentorship Program for aspiring businessowners in 2021.Perhaps some of the changes our profession hasimplemented will continue in a post-COVID world aswell. I am optimistic about the vaccine and oureventual control of COVID-19. As healthcareprofessionals, it is our responsibility to provide carewhile also continuing to follow the science and adhereto guidance from experts. As an AGD dentist, youexemplify what being a dentist truly means—adedicated commitment to evolving through continuingeducation and clinical excellence. The Leap Into Practice Mentorship Program is a hands-on, 8-weekvirtual program that seeks to connect practice owners (Mentors) withaspiring practice owners (Mentees) to ultimately help menteesdetermine if practice ownership is right for them and to embark onthis goal with more confidence and preparation. The tangible “walk-away” will be a customized, self-developedbusiness plan and credit hours for both mentors and mentees.The program will be a combination of self-learning, educational videos,and one-on-one guidance from industry experts and mentors to discuss:Industry AnalysisOrganizational StructureOperational/Management StrategyFinance-Capitalization and Understanding NumbersThe Art of Self Sustaining, Growing and Achieving ProfitabilityFinance Continued--In Business to Make MoneyMarketing and SalesLeadership and Communication

Once selected, Mentees will be invoiced a $500 fee for programenrollmentSelected Mentors will be enrolled in the program at no costBoth Mentors and Mentees may earn up to 24 Self Instruction/LectureCE Credits upon completion of the 8-week program.
