Summermusik 2015 will mark the debut of two new series involving small groups of performers A LITTLE AFTERNOON MUSIK a set of matinee concerts CHAMBER CRAWL late night performances for the libation inclined DEAR FRIENDS OF THE CCO As a resident of our fine city I have a special place in my heart for its passionate and versatile artists It is exactly those qualities that allow us to showcase repertoire for ensembles of different sizes In our first summer festival season Summermusik CCO will be covering a wide range of styles while also remaining grounded in the works of the great classical masters through three different series of performances Our chamber orchestra concerts at the Corbett Theater of The School for Creative Performing Arts will feature exciting soloists including the classy violin virtuoso ChoLiang Lin the return by popular demand of soprano Sarah Coburn and a collaboration with the spirited jazz band Faux Frenchmen led by the gifted young conductor Karina Canellakis The programs include world premieres and ten terrific works that have never been performed by the ensemble I also invite you to attend the multi media Prelude Talks I will be hosting before each performance at 7 15pm in the Mayerson Theater Summermusik 2015 will mark the debut of two new series involving small groups of performers A Little Afternoon Musik a set of matinee concerts and Chamber Crawl late night performances for the libation inclined The programs for both series have been cultivated by CCO s own musicians and will take place in a variety of intimate venues around Cincinnati Some of our guest soloists will also make special musical appearances at these events At an average of one hour in length these concerts would make a rewarding addition to any summer day Please join us on this exciting musical journey Musically yours Kelly Kuo 2 S U M M E R M U S I K F E S T I VA L 2 0 1 5
