CCC DISCOVERY Who Are You Discovery is the heart of our program During this foundational phase students undergo our proprietary assessments and exercises to gain a deep understanding of themselves across three key dimensions of their mind The Cognitive Intellect The Affective Emotional The Conative Instinctive At The College Confidence Coach we believe a thorough understanding of these three areas is crucial for students to start internally validating the major decisions they will soon face Meetings Discovery 1 Assessment Administration Discovery 2 Interpretations and Results Discovery 3 College Confidence Wheel 4 M s of Success Discovery 4 Transcript Review Student s Top 10 Reasons Discovery 5 Family Recap Throughout the Discovery Phase we will simultaneously explore the student s extracurricular involvement and begin to develop a plan for standardized testing prep tailored to their age and grade
CCC STRATEGIES Where Are You Going Once the student coach and family have reviewed the findings from Discovery it s time to move into the student s favorite part of the process Strategies This is an exciting phase where both our quantitative and qualitative algorithms generate personalized lists of potential career paths college majors and universities that match the student s skillsets desires and most importantly their needs While the Strategies phase includes six key meetings we ensure that we take the time needed to cover everything thoroughly Multiple sessions for each step are common to ensure no stone is left unturned Meetings Strategies 1 Your Career Swim Lanes Strategies 2 Swim Lane Research and Student Findings Strategies 3 Your Major Matches Strategies 4 Major Match Research and Student Findings Strategies 5 Your University Menu Strategies 6 University Menu Research and Student Findings There is no strict timetable for the Strategies phase Depending on the student s enrollment timeline in The College Confidence ProgramTM we can move swiftly if needed or take the necessary time to ensure everything is right During this phase we will also monitor the student s activities test prep progress and devise strategies for significant opportunities such as internships summer programs research and other impactful experiences
CCC SOLUTIONS How Do We Get There After concluding the Strategies phase we move into Solutions where we transform the plans and dreams into actionable steps This phase focuses on building the applications that have proven successful for thousands of students over The College Confidence Coach s thirteen year history While the official start of Solutions can be hard to pinpoint since much of the pre work is integrated throughout the Discovery and Strategies phases once students reach the appropriate stage in their journey typically junior or senior year we follow a step by step plan that simplifies a complex process instilling confidence in both students and their applications Meetings Solutions 1 Common App Framework Letters of Recommendation Identification Solutions 2 The Essay Idea Formulation Solutions 3 The Essay Student Ideas and Choices Solutions 4 The Essay Drafts and Revisions Solutions 5 Activity Articulation Solutions 6 and Beyond Application Implementation Although this meeting list may simplify the many components of the application process the Solutions phase can span anywhere from a few weeks to several months By the end of this phase we guarantee that students will have strong polished applications ready for submission
