THE NEW OLD WORLD CATLOWThe Catlow Theatre has stood as a Barrington architectural icon for 98 years.Generations have shared stories of films seen and significant life events experiencedwithin its walls. First dates, first kisses, and cherished moments with family and friends, all tied to iconic movies. The Catlow has been a cultural institution for most ofBarrington's history, fostering a profound sense of belonging and connection among itscommunity. Restoration of The Old World Catlow answers our modern needs. Whilefilms are now more accessible and can be watched at home, the essence of watching amovie has shifted away from our communal experience. Children stream their favoriteshows on devices, making it harder for families to gather together. Our beloved CatlowTheatre is a historical icon that outlasts trends, evolving to meet the spirit of its time.Barrington residents need a multigenerational epicenter that rises above fleeting trends.A historic landmark that inspires awe and respect, leaving an indelible mark on all whoenter. This is our vision for a future beyond Netflix and YouTube; a sanctuary thatelevates purpose and nurtures an appreciation for art and experience, uniting ourcommunity in shared inspiration. 2024 Illustration of The Catlow Auditorium Restored - Daprato Rigali Studios7
