Maybe not the kind of history that rivals the type thatworld historians idolize and deem sacred. The type that belongs to the rarest of company and transcends eras andepochs. This kind is heavily read, cited and quoted time and time again and receives laurels and accolades andseem to stand the test of time. Unlike highly regarded history, on June 9, 1984, two families merged as each familygave to the other family a seed or a sibling. This was the day that yours truly, Phillip Charles Johnson andCatherine Edward were joined together in holy matrimony creating their own version of family combining thevalues of both families and honing them into our own. Precisely 3 years, 3 months and 25 days (give or take a little)a beautiful baldheaded Tweedie bird-looking little girl came from this union adding more DNA to both families.Arlisha Nicole Johnson reflects the best of both Phillip and Catherine Johnson and has been, is and will be thebest gift that God gave us. Being the pride and joy for both of us. She, uniquely, as all children do have strands ofboth the Johnson and the Edward branch and embodies the character traits from both.You see normally this space is reserved for the bereaved to write or express their love and share sentiments totheir departed love one. “Nikkie” (Arlisha professionally) and I can’t do this, because God the Father summonedher to be absent from her diseased, debilitated, degenerated body on Tuesday May 27th, 2025, at about 3:39 pm. Mylast words to her were “Sweety Sweet are you with Jesus?” And in humility we are sure that our beloved knew weloved her “too much, too much” because we took care of her. When the Heavenly Father took her, there were nomore messages heard by her hence no need to write something to her. What we can do is say to Johnson’s andEdward’s is that you all walked with her, worked with her and worried about her. “Much oblige”. You all cared,comforted and cried with her. “Much oblige”. You all loved, laughed and lifted her. “Much oblige”. Now in herabsence, you all are serving, sharing and supporting us. “Much oblige”.From Phillip and Nikkie to the family we are a part of and love, we are so grateful that in the annuls of ourhistory, God has strategically, intentionally and magnificently made the seed from Ferdinand, Leanna (his 1st wifewho preceded him death) and Olecia (his 2nd wife and Sweety Sweet’s mother) along with the seed from Wallaceand Mary Jane (Phillip’s parents) into a family. To this we say to Him, and you all, “Thank You” for loving mySweety Sweet and Nikkie’s momma.
