Thoughts and Reflections

It's a New Year, what do you want to start noticing?

How can we begin to notice what is in front of us that we can see with new eyes?

This is being Mindfully Alert.

This year has brought much pain and uncertainty.

Sometimes searching for what is good is difficult.

We need to keep looking.

Seeing the world begins with our ears.

Olympic level listening requires us to move out of ourselves to

tune in to others.

This year has been tough.

 Don’t tough it out alone.

In biking or running,

the one in the front takes the full force

of the wind or any counterforces.

And makes it easier on the others.

How can we all do that for one another?

We all face things in different ways, with different strengths.

Appreciate everyone in your team and bring out the best in them.

When you connect,

you can bring joy to others...and yourself.

Have you asked yourself to notice

who could be there for you?

But we know this year has been HARD.

Beyond hard for many.

It is overwhelming.

We do what we can.

For the smaller pains – they count too.

It can feel like we don’t have

a right to feel bad about everyday challenges, but we do.

And – to find new ways to deal with them.

Let’s appreciate the ridiculous.

It’s hard to be a peacock in a strong wind…

On another note, perhaps you’ve noticed I’ve been quite absent lately?

That’s because I wrote a book with my business partner and best friend,

David Noble.
