Size and Style There are several styles and types of clotheslines available, e.g.
folding frame or folding rotary. When starting your selection, we recommend
starting with the style, e.g. folding frame or rotary, then working through size based
on the number of people using the line, the size of your wash loads and how often
you wash will all contribute to the size you can buy. More details can be found
on each of these styles in the sections below.
Determining the Clothesline Budget Clotheslines are one of the most used
pieces of equipment in the home and can last up to 15 years or more. It’s
advisable to consider this when working out your budget and before making a
buying decision.
We always recommend buying the best quality product your budget allows and
the largest one that will suit your home. It’s better not to use all the
lines than one day wishing you had more lines and make hanging up the washing
as enjoyable as possible.
Product Warranty All products come with a manufacturer’s warranty, the length
of time varies based on the brand, and all comply with Australian consumer
laws. A product warranty will cover plastic components and cords for up to 12
months only, with the balance of the product being covered for longer.

The Extended Length is the distance your clothesline will extend for the main body.

They range from 100mm to a massive 10m. The Hills brand has a minimum extension length
of 2m, which should be considered when selecting a Hills product.
Number of Lines Required The clotheslines range from 5 to 7 lines depending on the
manufacture. If the extended length of the clothesline limits you, additional space can
be gained by increasing the number of lines, for example, going from 5 lines to 7
Determining the Clothes Hoist Budget As Clothes Hoists are one of the most used
appliances in the home and can last up to 15 years or more, it’s advisable to consider this
when working out your budget and before making a buying decision.
We always recommend buying the best quality product your budget allows and the largest
