September 20, 2024 ד״פשת לולא ז”י אובת יכ תשרפ PRECIOUS TREASURE 6:26 PMDear Parents,When describing the various brachos Klal Yisrael will merit, the possuk in Ki Savo reads: םימשה תא בוטה ורצוא תא ׳ה ךל חתפי: Hashem will open his precious treasure house in heaven for you. The Torah lists the goodness that will result from this הכרב. There will be plenty of rain in its proper time, our handiwork will be blessed with success, we will have plenty of money to lend, we will be respected, and we will be בנזל אלו שארל. The Kli Yakar references ייחב ונבר who states that a person keeps his most treasured possessions in his vault. A king’s vault will contain priceless items. Hashem also has an רצוא and ורצוא איה ׳ה תארי. Hashem’s most valuable possession is our םימש תארי. Every time a Yid does a mitzvah or offers a sincere Tefillah with םימש תארי, Hashem stores it in His רצוא. Every time a Yid holds back from doing something wrong or is ןויסנב דמוע, Hashem stores it in His special vault. Why is םימש תארי stored in a special רצוא? Chazal teach us that תארימ ץוח םימש ידיב לכה םימש. Hashem has, and can do, everything. The only thing that he doesn’t have is our תארי םימש – our good choices. The possuk is informing us that Hashem holds the key to this otzar because its contents are so valuable to Him. But during our time of need and if we are deserving of His bracha, Hashem opens this vault and provides us with all our needs and blessing. He takes those precious jewels of our own םימש תארי to shower us with הכרב At times we fail to appreciate the value of our ׳ה תדובע and how much it accomplishes. This possuk is teaching us that these are in fact Hashem’s most precious possessions which He retains to shower us with all the bracha that we need.!תבש טוג Rabbi Ochs● Tues, Sept 24 - Preschool Back to School nightOct 2-4 - (Erev) Rosh Hashanah, No schoolOct 11 - Erev Yom Kippur, No schoolOct 15- Oct 27 - Sukkos break, No schoolWed, Nov 6 - GS staff mtg, 3PM dismissal all gradesFri, Nov 8 - Short Friday dismissal starts, Hamilton 1:20, Williston 1:30Sun, Nov 10 - Rebbeim mtg. 11:30 dismissal

Both the administrators and the teachers shared their plans and dreams for the year ahead with our esteemed parent body.● 4B launched their biggest STEM project yet. Creating structures out of dowels, rubber bands and pipe cleaners, and if getting them to be free standing wasn't enough of a challenge, each structure needed to be large enough for Mr. Carey to fit in. Three teams worked with skill, grace, and great cooperation throughout.● A special thank you to Rabbi Ochs for bringing the Elul atmosphere into the Hamilton building, blowing shofar for some of the classes.● Rabbi Ochs came to share Divrei Torah to our middle school, the 6-8G classes on the importance of V’halachta B’drachav- emulating Hashems’s ways.● 4G observed the physical properties of balls. They had to describe, record, and measure the different physical properties and they investigated how balls can be grouped according to size, color, weight, bounce height, texture, and buoyancy. ● 6B started working on their very exciting Sukkos project by building the smallest kosher Sukkah possible. The boys can use their portable Sukkahs for their Chol Hamoed trips!● 4B had an interactive lesson on the melacha of soiling using real pots of soil. ● We are so proud of our 2G-4G Kriah Neemah summer experts! Along with their certificates, each girl received a refreshing ices and a cute prize!● 5G enjoyed preparing and performing skits reenacting the perek that they completed.Uniform Gemach AnnouncementThe make-up (and final) girls' Aerobics & Movement afterschool class will take place this Monday, April 24th Mazel Tov!
