Message January 3, 2025 ה״פשת תבט 'ג שגיו תשרפ NOTHING CAN THWART HASHEM’S PLAN 4:06 PMDear Parents,With Parshas Vayigash, we conclude the story of Yosef revealing himself to his brothers. Yosef spoke two words: ףסוי ינא, and the events of the past twenty-two years became completely clear. The brothers realized that Yosef had not been a vain seventeen year old with delusions of grandeur where all his brothers would serve him, rather he was a Navi who had now seen the fulfillment of his prophetic vision. When Yosef recounted his dreams to his brothers, they had mocked him and said: המ הארנו ויתומולח ויהי – we shall see what will become of his dreams. Yet, they themselves were the ones who began the chain of events that brought about the realization of those same dreams. They were convinced that selling Yosef into slavery would spell the end of his fantasies – for how could a slave become a king? The Medrash comments on the words ויתומולח ויהי המ הארנו that Hashem said: You said we shall see, I say, let us see whose plan will prevail – yours or Mine.Rav Pam explains that nothing can stop the fulfillment of Hashem’s Divine plan. It was the will of Hashem that Yosef became the viceroy of Mitzrayim and his father and his brothers bow down to him. Anything they did, not only didn’t thwart Hashem’s plan, but were actually the catalysts to bring Yosef’s dreams to reality.Shlomo HaMelech writes in ׳ה דגנל הצע ןיאו הנובת ןיאו המכח ןיא :ילשמ. Even the wisest of men cannot stop Hashem’s plans from coming to fruition. The Ralbag utilizes the story of Yosef and the brothers as an example of this concept. The Nissim of Chanukah demonstrates this as well. Our enemies tried to destroy our Yiddishkeit with their harsh decrees. Hashem had promised us that the Torah would never be forgotten, and their decrees had the opposite effect of their intent. The battle of the Chashmonaim triggered a great resurgence of תווצמו הרותה תרימש.Especially in the times we live this message has to be transmitted to our children.Klall Yisroel will prevail over their enemies it is a cornerstone of our הנומא. תבש טוג Rabbi Ochs● Wed, Jan 8 - GS staff meeting, 3PM dismissal all gradesSun, Jan 12 -Rebbeim mtg, 11:30AM dismissalMon, Jan 20 - PD, No classesSun, Jan 26- Final Parenting Lecture, 7:45 PMTues, Feb 4- STEM FairFeb 6-11 -No school, midwinter breakWed, Feb 19 - GS staff meeting, 3PM dismissal all gradesSun, Feb. 23 - Rebbeim meeting, 11:30 dismissalWed, Feb 26 - 1-8G Parent Teacher ConferencesMon, Mar 3 - 1-8B Parent Teacher Conf.Wed, Mar 5 - Preschool Conferences
