April 5, 2024ד״פשת ב-רדא ו”כ ינימש תשרפ REMINDER 6:57 PMDear Parents,.לארשי ינקזלו וינבלו ןרהאל השמ ארק ינימשה םויב יהיוOn the eighth day of the dedication of Mishkan – ןסינ שדח שאר – Moshe addressed ןרהא, his sons, and the םיניקז of לארשי ללכ. Aharon was commanded to bring an לגע (calf) as a תאטח ןברק, and an ליא (ram) as a הלוע ןברק. Bnei Yisrael were instructed to bring a ריעש (goat) as a תאטח and an לגע with a שבכ (sheep) for an הלוע.The לאיזוע ןב ןתנוי םוגרת explains the need for these specific תונברק. The םילגע offered by ןהכה ןרהא and לארשי ינב were brought as a הרפכ for לגעה אטח. The ריעש atoned for the sin of ףסוי תריכמ (the brothers dipped Yosef’s coat into the blood of a goat following the sale). The ram and the sheep were offered to evoke the merit of קחצי who was bound by his father during the הדיקע.The offering of the goats and calves as part of the dedication of the Mishkan to atone for the respective תוריבע of לגעה אטח and ףסוי תריכמ is understandable. The ןכשמ was the place in the רבדמ where Hashem’s presence dwelled. The very existence of the Mishkan was a testimony that Hashem forgave לארשי ללכ for the sin of the Golden Calf, and chose to once again rest His הניכש among them. The selling of ףסוי highlighted the division among the brothers. The Mishkan was a place of תודחא – unity. Therefore, it is only appropriate to atone for an הריבע that represented disunity when dedicating the Mishkan. Why, however, do Bnei Yisrael offer a sheep and a ram to remember the הדיקע of קחצי over the a korban to remember the other תובא? The םישרפמ explain based on the ירזוכ and other םישרפמ that לארשי ללכ did not commit the תוריבע of לגעה אטח and ףסוי תריכמ just to serve הרז הדובע or to cause תקולחמ. They had a legitimate concern which prompted them to commit the sins. The Jews sinned with the Golden Calf because they truly thought השמ וניבר was gone. They were looking for direction, and constructed the לגע to be a medium through which to receive Hashem’s הכרב and guidance. Similarly, the brothers sold Yosef because of what they felt was a valid concern. It appeared to them that ףסוי was tampering with the unity of the brothers by seemingly demonstrating that he was above them. While it is true that both לארשי ללכ and the םיטבש had pure motives for doing that they did, they neglected one critical component. The םיטבש were the sons of וניבא בקעי – the תובאה ריחב. For such a decision – whether to sell their brother – they should have consulted with him! Similarly, if לארשי ללכ planned to introduce such a radical medium into their ׳ה תדובע, they should have first proposed the idea to their leaders – ןרהא and רוח. They should have not forced ןרהא and רוח to acquiesce to their demands without first listening to their opinion. For this reason, at the time of the ןכשמה תכונח, when Hashem was preparing to rest His presence among the Jewish people, He commanded us to remember the merit of Yitzchak. Yitzchak Avinu acted out of perfect and complete faith. He did not question the authenticity or veracity of his father’s command, but submitted himself unquestioningly to be sacrificed. It is this message of םימכח תנומא that Hashem wished to instill within לארשי ינב to safeguard them from similar mistakes. Therefore the possuk at the beginning of the parshah mentions that Moshe spoke specifically to the לארשי ינקז. Moshe wanted to make it clear that every element of the process resulting in הניכשה תארשה was done with the complete approval of the zekeinim. !תבש טוג Rabbi Ochs●● April 18-30- Pesach Break, No school● May 1 - Isru Chag, No school● May 2 - Classes resume● May 12 - Rebbeim meeting, 11:30 dismissal● May 17 - Grandparents’ Day● First day of school for 2024-25 school year - September 4th.

They were 40 teams representing about 6 schools. The structure was one of collaborative competition as each event was comprised of two teams working together to get the highest score possible. Each team competed in 9 events and their final score was the average from all nine competitions. The final 16 teams progressed to the next round and winners were the team pairs that performed the best in the final round. Our boys did not make it to the final round, but their robots were extremely effective in the competitions and were only pushed out by a few points. Congratulations to all the participants: Ezra Klompas, Gavriel Novik, Aryeh Block, Eli Gvirtsman, Aaron Yanovsky, Moshe Herbstman, Moshe Segal, Avrumi Halpern, Levi Klompas, Meir Novik and Yosef Shalom Delmoor. Thank you also to the leaders of our robotics club: Dr. Sacha Zyto, Mr. Nate Berman, and Mr. Michael Paull. Thank you also to parent chaperone, Dr. Michael Klompas and Mr. Tarlin for all the support throughout the elective. Heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Klompas for her extraordinary dedication to our robotic school trip. From meticulously organizing the trip, packing delicious meals to keeping parents updated, her behind-the-scenes efforts ensured a memorable and smoothly-run experience for all. Kol tuv!● Students in 4G investigated the fact that how much kinetic energy an object has depends on its mass (the amount of matter an object contains) and the velocity (the speed) at which it moves. They discovered how gravitational height and weight can affect the kinetic energy of an object. Balls were dropped from different heights and their bounce heights were recorded, Cars went down race tracks at different heights, and balls of different weights were rolled down the tracks and measured. ● Every day, the boys in 5B set aside 5 minutes to review the Gemara they learned earlier this year. On Wednesday, they celebrated completing 5 hours of review in 5 minute daily increments. The class enjoyed hot dogs and burgers for lunch. ● The fourth grade boys went to Get Air trampoline park after collectively reviewing well over 5000 Mishnahs. The boys had a fun and wild time together with great תודחא. The boys should be הכוז to continue to shtieg in their learning!● Nurse Miri facilitated a knife skills elective for 7th and 8th grade girls. The girls were practicing their knife skills by cutting, chopping and slicing various vegetables, such as; avocados, cucumbers and carrots while making vegetarian sushi.● Mazel tov to 6G on completing parshas shelach!
