State-of-the-ArtDemonstrationKitchenResearch indicates that Nutrition is a top concern for cancerpatients, with 17-55% of patients indicating they suffer from foodinsecurity, and 80% reporting issues with malnutrition as a resultof treatment. CR4H’s unique approach to nutrition educationintegrates three key pillars: evidence-based nutrition education, social and emotional support, and experiential learning, whichwork to improve the physical and emotional health of ourmembers. With the help of this new State-of- the-ArtDemonstration Kitchen, our Registered Oncology Dietitian willprovide educational programs and cooking classes for patientsand family members, equipping them with the knowledge andresources to prepare healthy meals that can aid in theirtreatment and recovery. The Stepping StoneClubhouse25% of cancer patients have children ages 19 and younger. There is little support for children impacted by a cancerdiagnosis, or that of a loved one. Our programs, led by Certified Child Life Specialists, providecoping strategies and a safe space for children and their families. This Clubhouse will provide age and developmentally appropriateactivities in a kid-friendly environment which are vital for thesocial and emotional well-being of families facing cancer.
