Final ReportDe'Neka's Scoliosis Surgery - Benevolent Program

De'Neka's surgery was completed on Thursday June 15, 2023.  She was released by the hospital on June 21, 2023 and her recovery is continuing. The hospital will be providing her with physiotherapy and she has completed one (1) session of physiotherapy so far and is doing well. The next date for physiotherapy has been scheduled for August 8th.  They have not said how many sessions will be needed but it will be provided free of cost. Her mom Neveine Myrie reports that De'Neka is still active and is doing ok after the surgery. Her only issue now is while her back heals she cannot bend it as yet and as such she has to stoop down whenever a bending action is needed. She also reported that De'Neka is able to sit for longer periods now than when she just did the surgery.
