Changes to Project Description Project Goal
Over the past few months, we have been navigating through the implementation of new policies at the Hospital. These policies have been designed to prioritize patient privacy and the security of their sensitive data. As we all know, safeguarding this information is of utmost importance, and in response to the evolving regulations, we have had to adapt our procedures accordingly.
As a result of these increasingly rigorous regulations, we regret to inform you that, for the time being, there will be no inclusion of images or testimonials in our updates. We understand that photos and firsthand accounts have played a significant role in conveying the stories of hope and recovery that we have shared with you in the past. Our inability to provide such visuals is a matter of regret for us, as we genuinely believe in the power of visual storytelling.
However, we want to assure you that we are not giving up on this aspect of our mission. We are actively engaging in negotiations with the Hospital authorities to obtain the necessary legal authorization that will allow us to responsibly capture photographs and testimonies once again. Our goal is to strike the right balance between respecting patient privacy and continuing to shed light on the inspiring journeys of recovery that are taking place within the Hospital's walls.
Help 720 patients at Mario Catarino Rivas Hospital in San Pedro Sula, Honduras, to live longer and healthier lives by funding salaries for medical personnel and providing medical supplies.
We are pleased to inform you of the progress of the essential surgeries over the last three months. We have carried out a total of 112 surgeries, marking a significant milestone in our effort to provide quality medical care and improve the health of our beneficiaries.
We are proud of this accomplishment since it represents our team's devotion and commitment to successfully treating various medical issues. Our medical team has managed scheduled and emergency procedures, striking a good balance between the two and delivering timely and high-quality treatment to our patients in all situations.
The joy felt by patients who had been on the surgical waiting list when they were eventually operated on is unparalleled. The wait has been an emotional rollercoaster of anxiety and anticipation for many of them. The operation they had hoped for becomes a ray of hope, dispelling their concerns and worries. It provides them relief to know that their health problems are being treated.
None of this great effort would be possible without the support of donors and Food For The Poor, who work tirelessly every day for the well-being of others. We have successfully saved a total of 226 lives and will continue to strive to help more patients.
