Basics of Quilting - Fun & FinishedThis course is designed to expand thesewing knowledge of students whoalready know how to sew, by teaching thebasic skills needed when learning to quilt.It is also a great course for those whohaven’t quilted for many years and wouldlike a refresher. At the first class, studentsare provided with a course outline, the required supplies for the course are discussed, and plenty oftime is provided for shopping with the class discount. During thecourse, students learn rotary cutting, block construction, quiltassembly and how to properly attach borders. One class isdedicated to sewing binding samples. Learn to navigate thecorners of a quilt when sewing on binding, how to join thebinding ends, and both the traditional, hand sewnbinding, and the 2 color,machine sewn binding.
