DEDICATED TO ALL THEDISCARDED SOFAS AND CHAIRS. A SAD SEAT STORY
ROCKET HAD THE COOLESTWHEELS IN ALL THE LAND,AND HE WAS VERY GOOD ATSPORTS. HE LOVEDNOTHING MORE THAN TOCOMPETE AND SHOW OFFHIS SPEED.
ROCKET WOULD ENTEREVERY RACE ANDCOMPETITION AND HEUSUALLY WON THEM ALL. HEWAS SO FAST THAT NOBODYCOULD KEEP UP WITH HIM.BUT WHEN ROCKET DIDN'TWIN, HE WOULD GET VERYANGRY AND SAY, "THAT'SNOT FAIR!"
ONE DAY, ROCKET ENTEREDA RACE, AND HE WAS SUREHE WAS GOING TO WIN. BUTTO HIS SURPRISE, ANOTHERCHAIR NAMED SPRINT WASJUST AS FAST AS HIM.ROCKET COULDN'T BELIEVEIT. HOW COULD SOMEONE BEAS FAST AS HE WAS?
AS THEY RACED ROCKETTRIED TO OVERTAKE SPRINT,BUT SHE KEPT UP WITH HIM.THEY WERE NECK AND NECK,AND ROCKET STARTED TOGET VERY FRUSTRATED. HEWAS USED TO WINNING, ANDHE DIDN'T LIKE IT WHENTHINGS DIDN'T GO HIS WAY.
AFTER THE RACE, ROCKETWAS VERY ANGRY. HE SAID,"THAT'S NOT FAIR! I SHOULDHAVE WON!" BUT SPRINTSAID, "WE BOTH DID A GREATJOB. IT WAS A CLOSE RACE,AND YOU'RE A GREATCOMPETITOR."
ROCKET DIDN'T WANT TOHEAR IT. HE STORMED OFF,FEELING VERY UPSET. BUTAS HE THOUGHT ABOUTWHAT HAD HAPPENED, HEREALIZED THAT SPRINT WASRIGHT. IT WAS A CLOSERACE, AND HE HAD TOLEARN TO PLAY FAIR ANDUNDERSTAND THAT HECOULDN'T ALWAYS WIN.
THE NEXT DAY, ROCKETWENT TO APOLOGIZE TOSPRINT. HE SAID, "I'M SORRYFOR BEING A SORE LOSER.YOU WERE AMAZING, AND ISHOULD HAVECONGRATULATED YOU ONYOUR VICTORY."
FROM THAT DAY ON, ROCKETLEARNED TO PLAY FAIR ANDENJOY THE SPORT WITHOUTALWAYS FOCUSING ONWINNING. HE STILL LOVED TOCOMPETE AND SHOW OFFHIS SPEED, BUT HE WAS NOWGRACIOUS IN DEFEAT ANDALWAYS CONGRATULATEDTHE WINNER.
ROCKET REALIZED THAT ITWAS IMPORTANT TO HAVE FUNAND ENJOY THE SPORT, EVENIF HE DIDN'T ALWAYS WIN. HEWAS GRATEFUL FOR HIS COOLWHEELS AND HIS ABILITY TOCOMPETE, BUT HE WAS EVENMORE GRATEFUL FOR THELESSONS HE LEARNED ABOUTSPORTSMANSHIP AND FAIRPLAY.
