ONCE UPON A TIME, THERE WASA COZY SOFA THAT BELONGEDTO A FAMILY. THE SOFA HAD BEEN WITH THEFAMILY FOR MANY YEARS ANDHAD BEEN THE SITE OF MANYMOVIE NIGHTS AND FAMILYGATHERINGS.
HOWEVER, ONE DAY, THE FAMILYRECEIVED SOME EXCITING NEWSTHAT THEY WERE MOVING TO ANEW HOUSE IN A DIFFERENT CITY. THE FAMILY WAS THRILLED, BUTTHE LITTLE SOFA WASN'T SO SURE.
AS THE FAMILY PACKED UP THEIRBELONGINGS AND LOADED THEMINTO A MOVING TRUCK, THE SOFASAT ON THE CURB OUTSIDE THEHOUSE, WONDERING WHAT WOULDHAPPEN TO IT.
"WHAT'S GOING TO HAPPEN TOME?" IT WONDERED. "I DON'T WANT TO BE LEFT HEREON THE STREET CORNER ALLALONE."
DAYS TURNED INTO WEEKS,AND THE SOFA SAT ON THECORNER, HOPING SOMEONEWOULD COME AND TAKE ITAWAY.
IT WATCHED AS PEOPLE WALKEDBY, SOME STOPPING TO TAKE ALOOK, BUT NO ONE SEEMEDINTERESTED IN TAKING IT HOME.
ONE DAY, A LITTLE GIRL NAMEDJAZZ WAS WALKING HOME FROMSCHOOL WHEN SHE SPOTTED THELONELY SOFA ON THE CORNER.SHE STOPPED AND LOOKED AT ITFOR A WHILE.
THEN SHE SAT DOWN ON IT."THIS SOFA IS SOCOMFORTABLE," SHE THOUGHT. "I WISH I COULD TAKE IT HOMEWITH ME."
AS SHE SAT ON THE SOFA, ASMALL BIRD LANDED NEARBY. THE BIRD LOOKED AT JAZZ ANDTHEN AT THE SOFA.
"THIS SOFA NEEDS A HOME,"THE BIRD SAID. "WHY DON'T YOU TAKE IT WITHYOU?"
JAZZ SMILED AND LOOKED ATTHE SOFA. "WOULD YOU LIKE TOCOME HOME WITH ME?" SHEASKED. THE SOFA DIDN'T HAVE TOTHINK TWICE. "YES, PLEASE!" ITEXCLAIMED.
SO JAZZ TOOK THE SOFAHOME WITH HER. SHECLEANED IT UP AND NAMEDIT BASH. FROM THAT DAYON, BASH WAS THE MOSTPOPULAR SPOT IN THEHOUSE.
JAZZ'S FAMILY LOVED BASHJUST AS MUCH AS SHE DID.THEY SPENT MANY HAPPYHOURS SITTING ON THECOZY SOFA, READING BOOKS, WATCHING MOVIES,AND PLAYING GAMES.
THE LITTLE SOFA WAS SOGRATEFUL TO HAVEFOUND A NEW HOMEWITH A FAMILY THATLOVED IT JUST AS MUCHAS ITS OLD FAMILY DID.
BASH KNEW THAT IT WOULDNEVER HAVE TO WORRYABOUT BEING LEFT ON THESTREET CORNER AGAIN, ANDIT WAS HAPPY TO HAVE A NEWFAMILY TO SHARE ITS WARMTHAND COMFORT WITH.
