Welcome to the 2024 EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival. Celebrating its 32nd year, the beloved BrisbaneMarathon Festival is always a much-anticipatedevent for residents and visitors and a highlight ofour jam-packed major events calendar. This historic event has attracted more than 10,000entrants in 2024 and offers racers of all skill levelsthe chance to get out and be active whilediscovering Brisbane’s fantastic lifestyle.Thousands of racers will gather to create anunforgettable atmosphere of fun and fitness, setagainst the backdrop of the iconic Story Bridge,Kangaroo Point Cliffs, and Brisbane Riverwalk. TRANSFERS TO ANOTHER PERSONTransfers to another person must be done inperson at the Transfers Desk at Registration priorto race day. You must collect your race bib first andhave a copy of the registration confirmation emailfrom the original person who entered.There is a $15 transfer fee to transfer to another person. CORRECT EVENTEnsure you start and finish the event you areregistered for, failure to do so will result in yourfinish time not being recorded. Your event is clearlymarked on the front of your race bib.BAG STORAGE The event bag storage and information tent are inthe Event Precinct. Bag drop will be open from 5amon race day only.Please attach your personal bag tag found on yourrace bib (it's a perforated tear off along the bottom)to your bag for easy identification. Please do notleave any valuables in your bags.SPECIAL NEEDS DRINKSSpecial/personal drinks are for the marathonevent only.Drinks must be in sealed, leak proof containers,no taller than 21cm and clearly marked withyour name/race number and the relevant aidstation where it is to be placed at.Special needs can be placed at the 12.3km,22.1km, and 33.4km aid stations.Special Drinks are to be left in the designatedaid station tub at registration by no later than2pm Saturday 1 June 2024.It is your responsibility to find your own specialneeds bottle at each designated aid station.Dispose of bottles in waste bins - please do notlitter the course.Unclaimed drinks will be disposed of.OFFICIAL 2024 EVA AIR BRISBANE MARATHONFESTIVAL MERCHANDISEOur Official 2024 EVA Air Brisbane MarathonFestival Merch is selling fast. RUNNING WITH HEADPHONESRunning with headphones is not recommended,however we do allow the use of these whileparticipating. If you choose to wear headphones,please ensure the volume is at a reasonable levelso that you are able to hear instruction fromcourse officials. The oncourse nutrition is the ‘Infinit Speed ’ mix in orange flavour.AID STATION LOCATIONS CAN BE FOUND HEREAIMS CERTIFICATIONThe EVA Air Brisbane Marathon is an AIMS certifiedcourse and follows strict guidelines to ensure thedistance runners are completing is accuratelymeasured. This provides the ideal opportunity toset a personal best time or record a highly soughtafter qualifying time for the major marathonsaround the world including New York and Boston.KILOMETER MARKINGS Kilometer markings will be clearly signposted every 5km. Ensure you start andfinish the event you are registered for, failure to doso will result in your finish time not being recorded.Your event is clearly marked on the front of yourrace number.GUN TIME / NET TIMEGun times are for the elites and all runners receivea gun and net time. Age group official times andage group medals will be awarded on net time.PACERSPacer Runners will be there throughout the eventin the marathon, half marathon and 10kmdistances to help you achieve your running goals. If you have a set time in mind that you would like toachieve, our Pace Runners will can play a big part inyour race.

FINISH CHUTEOnce you have completed your event, keep movingthrough the finish chute to the recovery area. Youdo not need to hand back your race number.MEDICAL AIDIf you require medical assistance please seekattention from our medical staff at the finish line oron course.RESULTSRace results will be available online here. Resultscan also be viewed by scanning the QR code on theback of your bib.PERSONAL RESULTS CERTIFICATEYour own personalised results certificate will beavailable online after you finish your event. ITAB MEDAL INSERTS Celebrate your fantastic achievement at the EVA Air Brisbane Marathon Festival with iTAB.Finisher medals are designed to fit an iTAB, a small metallic finished plate with your name andfinishing time engraved.
