This warranty covers and guarantees against:- Wind damage up to 80mph- Wood cladding against rotThe Arc warranty is subject to: 1) The customer following the checks and maintenance procedures listed below and 2) that the customer notifies Alfresco Arch of problems immediately. Failure to do so will void your Bird Hide Arc warranty.Essential Checks and maintenanceFailure to undertake the following will void your arc warranty:1. Keep the bottom of the Arc clear from mud and vegetation. 2. Check for any broken or loose screws every month. Replace or tighten any screws to ensure the cladding is secure.3. Treat your Bird Hide with a quality wood preservative such as 'Frogsuit' within 12 months of your arc being assembled. Then every 2 years thereafter. For arcs with Canvas sleeves: Spray the canvas sleeves with a fabric protector spray such as Frogsuit Fabric Protector.
Additional Advice- If you wish to retain your arc's original colour, treat the feather-edge cladding with a quality decking oil within a few months of purchase.- Treating your arc with a quality decking oil such as 'Frogsuit' within 3 years of purchase, will increase the lifespan of your arc. - If leaks occur, wait for the crack / knot to dry and then apply silicone. This should stop the leaking.Notes regarding timberProducts and Buildings, Manufacture and Materials are supplied with a 10 year limited Warranty subject to the following terms :The guarantee does not cover movement, warping, splitting of timber products over time.Any warranty offered is only valid for goods within the United Kingdom.Validity of GuaranteeThe product build instructions must be adhered to in order to comply with the conditions of the guarantee. If any part of the building is cut, notched or drilled such actions must also adhere to the build instructions.Owners and users are required to notify Alfresco Arch of problems or failures immediately they occur.A suitable timber treatment should be applied as advised above. The application and/or mixing guidelines provided by the manufacturer of the timber treatment should be followed.The guarantee is invalid if:The building has been customised or modified in any way.The person claiming is not the original purchaser of the building.The building has not been treated annually or in accord with the treatment manufacturer’s guidelines.The building has not been erected, fitted or installed correctly.The building is or has been touching any external wall which can allow moisture to penetrate the timber.All fixing points have not been regularly checked and maintained.General InformationWood is a natural product and susceptible to changes in the external environment. Extremes of temperature or weather conditions will cause a reaction in the timber. Sawn timber and machine rounded items in particular may split.
