I IMAGINED A PAINTER PAINTING SUCH A WORLD Like successive layers of leaf that dwindle the sunlight Are the overlapping cumulative shadows Projected by things which huddle in them darkly Within the greater shadow suffering Breaching the shores of matter a swell of shadows Destroys all sanctions of formal separateness And objects transposed of vesture take doubtful values Like hulks vaguely discerned under the tides What inner or outer flames may shine are random In the one shadowed sea where all things melt While through all the superior dark the subjective night Encloses and bathes the universe IMAGINABA UN PINTOR PINTANDO UN MUNDO TAL Como capas sucesivas de hojarasca que menguan la luz del sol Se ven las traslapadas sombras acumulativas Proyectadas por las cosas que en ellas se agazapan tenebrosas Dentro de la sombra mayor el sufrimiento Rebosando las orillas materiales una ola de sombras Destruye toda sanci n de separaci n formal Y los objetos transpuestos de vestidura toman dudosos carices Como moles entrevistos en la marea Toda llama interna o externa que brille es aleatoria En el nico ensombrecido mar donde todo se liquida Mientras la lobreguez superior la noche subjetiva Encierra y ba a el universo Copyright by The Estate of Hyam Plutzik All Rights Reserved

JELLYFISH by Howard Ehrenfeld IN BLT STEAK Ehrenfeld s four dimensional way of thinking in layers combines to create a collage to incorporate disjointed time This montage is naturally in the Jellyfish from the way that their bodies layer and intertwine yet are translucent and transparent with a motion that is limited repetitive and continuously fluid The work is intentionally presented in a way that makes the two dimensional work sculptural By mounting and presenting it away from the wall the artist intends to bring his art into the viewer s space in a sculptulal way Jellyfish are creatures that have everything organic line limited but obvious color and form well actually the illusion of form I find it impossible to turn away when I see Jellyfish because they look alien H E Howard Ehrenfeld is a professional photographer who taught for 16 years at the Maryland Institute College of Art and currently teaches at Johns Hopkins University As an early adopter of digital photography His environmental pieces embrace underwater life in a powerful and compelling way reminding us of the fragility and innate beauty of nature Archival Inkjet prints mounted on wood various sizes 1 200 each Larger works 52 x24 52 x38 2 000 each A portion of sales benefits Zara s Center for AIDS Impacted Children and The Betsy Community Fund For assistance please see the Concierge or contact Jessica Tindall in Marketing at 305 531 6100 Shipping cost additional 60 for domestic US shipments 200 for international shipments Larger framed works may incur additional shipping fees
