Not just because of the sunshine or the salty air (though those help!), but because of the feeling—family, tradition, and the joy that comes with slowing down and soaking it all in. For my family, that means piling into the car—snacks, beach towels, and four very excited boys in tow—for our annual beach trip. It’s messy, it’s loud, it’s wonderful. And it’s ours. This issue is all about honoring what’s Made in the South—from the creatives building businesses with heart, to the events that bring us together and the fashion that helps us express our bold, Southern style. Speaking of fashion, we’re thrilled to feature Greenville Fashion Week on the cover this month. It’s one of the South’s premier fashion events, and the countdown is on for their biggest celebration yet, happening July 30–August 2.Summer is the perfect time to explore, support, and shop local—whether you’re wandering into a neighborhood boutique or discovering a new favorite maker right here in the pages of Belle. We hope this issue brings you inspiration, a few new favorites, and a whole lot of Southern pride.CONTRIBUTIONS:3218 BOILING SPRINGS RD. | (864) 578-6003COWBOYCONNECTIONLLC.COMEveleigh JonesAllie Byers

13MAGICDISNEYSouthern CharmMEETSThis summer I took a family trip to Disney World. It was a great way to combine two of my favorite things: the sweet, laid-back beauty of the South with the timeless magic of Dis-ney. From the time we arrived, our days were full of fun, sunshine, and lots of Southern style. We had the best time racing through the parks, trying new foods coordinating our outfits with matching Mickey ears. Getting to choose Mickey ears every day to go with our park clothes was one of my favorite parts. I chose a sparkly, Elsa-inspired pair and styled them with a light blue workout top from Target and white Free People shorts; my comfy, Southern spin on an ice queen look, but it was comfortable enough to wear while running after Lightning Lane reservations. My mom and I made sure to try the famous Dole Whip, which is one of Disney’s most famous treats. It did not disappoint. Our little spot of shade was close to Adventureland. We sat there and ate our delicious pineapple soft serve. The first bite was sweet, sour, and so refreshing, it reminded me of summers back home when I would take a break from the sun to enjoy a popsicle and cool off. The magic of Disney’s tropical world and the sweetness of the South worked so well together. Take it from me—Dole Whip is one treat you can’t miss if you’re going to Disney World. It’s the kind of easy happiness that makes a hot afternoon better.Another one of my personal favorite treats I tried during our Disney trip was the classic Mickey ice cream bar—a true must-have on a hot day in the parks. My sister went for the Mickey ice cream sandwich, which she really enjoyed. After walking around all day in the Florida sun, these little frozen treats were so refreshing, simple, and full of joy. It was even better because it made me think of hot afternoons in the South when I was a kid and the ice cream truck would come through the neighborhood. We’d all run outside with dollar bills in our hands, trying to get a treat before it melted. It was a small moment, but one that you remember. It was like Disney magic mixed with the slow, sweet beauty of a Southern summer. My family and I had a great time “drinking around the world” at Epcot. It was a fun little task that we took on as we looked at each country in the World Showcase. My family enjoyed drinks and wines from France, Mexico, and Germany. I joined the fun with a variety of fun mocktails that were just as enjoyable. Going from one pavilion to the next and enjoying the music, sights, and smells that made each one feel like a mini vacation. Of all the dish-es we tried, my favorite by far was the gnocchi I ordered in the Italy pavilion. Laughing with family, eating good food, and taking our time to enjoy the little things gave the whole experience a bit of Southern charm. While we were in Epcot, my mom, sister, and I all wore matching shirts we got from Harringtons— a sweet little Southern boutique that always has the cutest finds. What made it even more fun was how we each added our own flair.. I styled my top with a denim skirt from Dillard’s, Steve Madden sneakers, sunglasses from Target, and of course, my sparkly Mickey ears to top it off. I loved walking through World Showcase with my mom and sister dressed in Disney-style Southern chic. Of course, every night we went to dinner I used it as an excuse for a new outfit!BY EVELEIGH JONES

Boards, Brie & Southern BeautyThe Story Behind SpartanburgCharcuterie CompanyIf you’ve ever laid eyes on a perfectly styled grazing board from Spartanburg Charcuterie Company, you know it’s more than just food—it’s a work of edible art, sprinkled with Southern charm and served with heart.Founded by Tamara Siders, Spartanburg Charcuterie Company (lovingly shortened to SCCO) was inspired by a simple but meaningful joy: gathering. “I’ve always loved bringing people together over beautiful, intentional food,” Tamara says. “What started as a hobby creating boards for friends quickly became a way to serve the community in a more mean-ingful way.”While Tamara’s professional background is rooted in mental health and nonprofit work, her passion for creating beautiful moments through food has always been close to home. “Food has always been my love language,” she shares. “Whether it’s Sunday brunch with friends or celebrating a milestone, I’ve always loved the art of entertaining.” Charcuterie became the perfect outlet to combine her love of creativity, connection, and hospitality into one joyful—and delicious—venture. Each SCCO board is uniquely made with a Southern flair, right down to the details. “We showcase Southern flavor in both presentation and product,” Tamara says. “Whether it’s local honey, pimento cheese, or our Carolina Corner filled with regionally sourced goods, every board reflects a taste of the South.” Beyond the ingredients, it’s the care, the kindness, and the attention to detail that truly define what it means to be Made in the South.SCCO offers a variety of stunning options—from grab-and-go grazing boxes to full-scale luxe grazing tables for weddings, showers, and corporate events. “Our grazing tables are definitely a showstopper,” Tamara notes. “But our signature grazing boxes are a fan favorite too.” Seasonal boxes and specialty offerings like the “Brie-Easy” skillet series bring an elevated feel to any gathering, whether you’re celebrating big or staying cozy at home. And some celebrations stand out more than others. “One of my favorite moments was creating a custom board for a proposal picnic— complete with heart-shaped cheeses and the couple’s favorite snacks,” Tamara recalls. “Seeing our food become part of such a personal, life-changing moment was incredibly special and reminded me how powerful shared meals can be.”So, how do you get your hands on one of these gorgeous grazing creations? Easy! You can place an order through the website at www.spartanburgcharcuterie.com, or reach out via Instagram or Facebook at @spartanburgchar-cuterie. Prefer a good old-fashioned phone call? Give them a ring at 864-508-2105. SCCO also partners with local venues, event planners, and businesses for custom spreads.Big things are coming this fall with the opening of SCCO’s new storefront at 14 Mill Street in downtown Inman, SC. “The space will feature our signature charcuterie offerings, a curated Southern pantry, and creative small bites like warm skillets and flatbreads,” Tamara says. “Our hope is to create a destination— somewhere people can gather, graze, and feel at home.”To Tamara, Southern hospitality means more than just a friendly smile—it’s about making every person feel seen and celebrated. “Whether it’s a handwritten thank-you note or remembering a client’s favorite cheese, we infuse kindness and care into every detail,” she says. “It’s about creating not just beautiful boards, but memorable experiences.”And if you’re inspired to try your hand at charcuterie at home? Tamara says to start with color and contrast. “Use a mix of textures—soft cheeses, crunchy nuts, fresh fruit—and don’t be afraid to add something unexpected like a drizzle of hot honey or a few edible flowers. And above all, make it personal. Boards are as much about the vibe as they are the food.”From proposal picnics to full-on feasts,Spartanburg Charcuterie Company is helping the Upstate gather better—one board at a time. Whether you’re celebrating big or savoring the small stuff, this woman-owned business is proof that the heart of the South is best served on a platter.BY MELISSA RHINE

28Located on the outskirts of Spartanburg, SC, Croft State Park is a sprawling 7,000-acre retreat where history and nature intertwine. Once a World War II Army training base, the park now welcomes visitors with miles of multi-use trails, two serene lakes, and a deep sense of place rooted in South Carolina’s past. The park’s landscape is a patchwork of pine forests, rolling hills, and quiet creeks, oering over 20 miles of trails for hikers, mountain bikers, and equestrians alike. Lake Craig, the park’s centerpiece, invites peaceful afternoons of fish-ing, kayaking, or simply watching the water ripple beneath the trees. For those seeking a slower pace, the 1.5-mile Nature Trail loops gently along Fairforest Creek, shaded and rich with wildflowers.Croft’s equestrian facilities are a standout, with horse-friendly campgrounds and monthly shows that draw riders from across the region. Campers can choose be-tween lakeside or wooded sites, though some visitors note the infrastructure could use a refresh. Still, the charm of the CCC-era stonework, the preserved cemeteries, and the echoes of history make this park more than just a place to pitch a tent—it’s a living story.Whether you’re drawn by the trails, the water, or the quiet hush of the woods, Croft State Park oers a Southern escape that feels both grounded and expansive.A SUMMER MUSTBY ALLIE BYARS

SOUTHERN STAPLES WITH GRACE //AUTHOR GRACE HELENA WALZ SHARES A FEW OF HER FAVORITE SOUTHERN THINGS:Favorite Southern food:Fried green tomato sandwichSweet tooth must-have:Red velvet cakeGo-to comfort food:Fried chicken & biscuitsFavorite getaway:Tybee Island, GeorgiaDreamy setting to write about:Historic CharlestonFavorite Southern tradition:“Neighbors loving on neighbors”RESTORATION, ROMANCE & RAINBOW ROWGRACE HELENA WALZ BRINGS CHARLESTON TO LIFE IN SOUTHERN BY DESIGNIf you’ve ever wandered the cobblestone streets of Charleston and wished you could bottle up the charm, history, and pastel-painted porches into a summer read, Southern by Design might just be your new favorite book. Author Grace Helena Walz has done just that—crafting a heartfelt story that feels as Southern as fried green tomatoes and second chances.Grace’s inspiration for the novel came straight from experience. A College of Charleston alum, she spent four years living in the heart of the city, soaking up the architectural beauty and rich history that now color every page of her debut. “I wed my love of Charleston and its architecture with my love for home renovation TV andSouthern by Designwas born,” she says. But it’s not just about the scenery. Grace’s Southern roots run deep—and they shape her writing in all the best ways. After living across the country and even internationally, she says she’s come to appreciate the warmth, quirks, and community spirit unique to the South. “Whether it be someone calling to check in on you or setting up a meal train after a baby is born, there’s nothing like neighbors loving on neighbors in the South,” she shares.Southern by Designfollows Mack, a home restorer with a knack for bringing Charleston’s old homes back to life—and, as it turns out, maybe a few broken hearts too. “It’s a story about second chances and restoration,” Grace says. “The theme that runs through is captured in a line from the first paragraph:nothing worth saving is beyond repair.”Readers who love immersive settings will adore the book’s visual storytelling. Grace writes as if watching a movie unfold, and Charleston is a scene-stealer. “Living inside the cobblestone streets among the rainbow painted houses was such a treat,” she says.Of course, it wouldn’t be Southern storytelling without a few culinary cameos. Grace’s can’t-live-without favorites include fried green tomato sandwiches, red velvet cake, and classic fried chicken with biscuits. And when it comes to travel spots that inspire her stories? Charleston and Tybee Island top her list—along with Savannah, “another can’t-miss spot!”BELLE’S BOOKSHELFNext up, Grace is bringing readers another dose of Southern charm with her upcoming novelGood Hair Days—a modern take onSteel Magnoliasabout two sisters trying to save their family’s beloved hair salon. 36PHOTO BY ANGELA ZIONPHOTO BY TERESA KATE BLOOMTeresa RocheFOUNDER AND OWNER OF ART & LIGHT GALLERY AND TERESA ROCHE TEXTILESShe’s the creative force behind some of the South’s most vibrant walls and inspired spaces. From found-ing Greenville’s beloved Art & Light Gallery to launching her signature line of textiles and wallpaper, Teresa Roche celebrates Southern makers, artists and designers. Her company, Teresa Roche Textiles, shares a brand new space with home design store Circa Maison, and her gallery is an ever-changing homage to her favorite creators. You’re known for infusing your artwork into textiles and wallpaper. What’s the process like turning a canvas into a pattern for a home? My textile and wallpaper patterns are all created by using my original artwork.I am a mixed media abstract artist, and I like capturing brush strokes,imperfections in the process and spontaneity with a very painterly objective. My patterns are a bit loose and very painterly tomimic the fine art process Iuse.Many of the marks are created with charcoals, pastels, and conte.Once the painting is complete and I determine that it can be a pattern, I have the painting professionally photographed and the photography goes to a graphic designer who then works to establish the repeat. The repeat is a back-and-forth process and can be the most challenging part for me. Once the repeat is established, a file is sent to a digital printer, Decor Print, in Fort Mill, SC.All my wallpapers and fabrics are printed in S.C.You’ve worn many creative hats—gallery founder, artist, textile designer, shop owner. What role feels the most “you” right now? The role that feels the most right for me, is the combination of the gallery artists and inspiration Ifindfrom many of them+ combining the artists with my textiles and wallpapers to highlight fine art and fine craft.Much of the editorial photography and branding that Ido involves the artists of A&LGallery.The overlap with designer trade partners between A&L and Teresa Roche Textiles is thrilling as well because I believe that there is no division between art and design.It’s very rewarding to see customers and interior designers begin with a piece of art as their inspiration for a room. When theart comes together in a space with my patterns thatis the most thrilling part to me!Homes can be stark, and void of soul and I believe that collecting what you love brings warmth, personality and charm to your surroundings. What’s your favorite way to spend a slow summer morning in Greenville? Working in the garden at Art & Light and strolling through the downtown market to finda new plant or orchid.What’s your studio soundtrack right now—what music (or podcast!) gets the creativity flowing? I love TheBlack Pumas, and theyare most often my go to. If I’m lacking energy, I turn to Justin Timberlake—a favorite! My favorite podcast is Subject Matters by Kate Blohm.Her candid interviewswith creatives across the country feels like sitting down with coee with abestfriend.Your studio lives in a former parsonage— do you believe certain spaces hold creative energy? I do believe that certain spaces hold creative energy for sure.When I walked through the door of the former parsonage at 16 Aiken Street, the wide entrance hall and shotgun style of the home was perfect. I raced to throwback the old musty curtains (pulled a couple of them o the wall which I got in trouble for) onboth sides of the house and saw the beautiful light stream through both sides of the house from room to room and I knew instantly that this light would bring the energy to highlight artists’ creations. I am led by the light and this naturallighting continues to drive all my creations and emotions.What a find—I’ve never felt that kind of pull or draw towards anything in my life and yes, spiritually I felt like everything that I had worked for previously would come together in this place and it did.Do you have any personal rituals that spark creativity when you’re starting a new design? I really am moving so fast that I run through the studio door and get to it very quickly. I’m a little impatient and can’t sit still for even a second so most of the time I am reaching for dance music—dance was my college major. Movement and light continue to be my inspiration. What’s something in your home that always makes you smile? All my art makes me smile, but a year ago, my daughter-in-law, Haley, made an embroidery piece which is the exterior of Art & Light, and she nailed it! I have never been more surprised and thrilled like I was with this gift of love. What colors are you loving for home design right now? I am always drawn to warm tones—yellows, ochres, blush tones—I’m seeing these colors pop up more than ever right now. They are always my go-tos.PHOTO BY SERIOUSLY SABRINAPHOTO BY SERIOUSLY SABRINA

We believe in the power of a well-set table, a front porch conversation, and a closet full of outts that make a woman feel as condent as she is capable. We believe in supporting small businesses, in shopping local, and in cele-brating the creativity of artists, designers, and makers who bring beauty to our lives. We believe in savoring a meal, whether it’s a home-cooked family favorite or a new dish at a restaurant that feels like home.We believe in faith as our foundation, in the strength of women, and in the sacred, messy, beautiful gift of motherhood. We know that raising children, chasing dreams, and creating a home is holy work, and we wouldn’t trade it for the world. We believe that style is personal, beauty is more than skin deep, and health is about feeling strong in body and spirit. 40Born and raised in Huntsville, Alabama, Hannah P. Morris grew up Southern to the core—but her journey into the world of art wasn’t quite traditional. A former teacher and corporate leader turned full-time artist, Hannah’s story is one of loss, faith, and transformation. Now based in Birmingham, she creates spirit-led abstract artwork that blends beauty, mystery, and deep spiritual truths.“During my ninth year working for lululemon, I witnessed the tragic death of a child we were very close to,” Hannah shares. “It changed the trajectory of my life. I left my job to focus on my family, and in the depths of grief, I turned to painting as a creative outlet.”What began as healing in her basement soon became a calling. Painting to worship music and guided by quiet moments with God, Hannah discovered something deeper than a hobby—she found purpose. Her work is hard to describe in one word. “I would say my style is modern, abstract-spiritual,” she explains. “It’s rooted in Scripture and symbolic form, blending emotive color and texture with contemplative depth.” Through her collections—like Rooted, Eternal Rock, Many Rooms, and now REVEALED—her art becomes a visual meditation: rich in texture, led by color, and inspired by divine revelation.Hannah is clear that she’s not painting alone. “Every time I paint, it’s a form of worship,” she says. “The Holy Spirit is necessary for me to create. Most mornings, I get up at 4am to spend time with God before my kids wake up. He often whispers a verse or a promise, and that becomes the inspiration behind a piece.”Her latest collection, REVEALED, is a bold celebration of that divine partnership. “This collection was such a fun one to create with God,” Hannah says. “It’s based on Jeremiah 29:13—‘You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.’ For a lot of people, the Bible feels hard to understand. But when we ask the Holy Spirit for help, He brings clarity and understanding. REVEALED is a way to express that truth in a way that feels colorful and approachable.”For Hannah, being “Made in the South” means more than sweet tea and Southern charm—it’s about deeply rooted values. “Faith, hospitality, resilience—those are Southern at their core,” she says. “My Southern roots have shaped my worldview, my pace, and my love for people. It shows up in every brushstroke.”The most meaningful part of her artistic journey? “When someone tells me my work encouraged them to seek God or spend time in Scripture,” she says. “That’s everything. If even one person draws closer to Him through what I do, it’s worth it.”You can shop Hannah’s work online at hannahpmorrisart.com or follow along on Instagram at @hannahpmorrisart. Page 55

55When Ashley Grommer discovered permanent jewelry at a rehearsal dinner in New Jersey, she didn’t just fall in love with the concept—she found her calling. “I had seen it on TikTok but never in person,” she told us. “My husband actually encouraged me to reach out and learn more.” That spark of curiosity led Ashley all the way to Las Vegas for a Permanent Jewelry Expo, where she dove headfirst into the world of custom jewelry, took classes, met suppliers, and brought her newfound passion back home to Spartanburg. The result?Bespoke Permanent Jewelry—a charming studio tucked inside 128 Magnolia Street where sparkle meets sentiment. As Ashley explains, “The word ‘bespoke’ kept popping up during the expo. It means custom-made, and that’s exactly what I do. Each piece is made just for you. It truly makes you feel special.”If you’re new to the trend, here’s the scoop: permanent jewelry is designed without a clasp. Instead, Ashley connects the ends of your chosen chain with a jump ring and welds it for a seamless, personalized fit. “You can still take it o if needed—jewelry isn’t indestructible,” she laughs. “Dogs, sweaters, MRIs—it happens. But I make it easy for you to come back in and have it re-welded.”When you arrive for your appointment at Bespoke, expect a vibe. “Music is playing, there’s a fun neon sign on a greenery wall—it’s a whole experience,” she says. You’ll browse through over 75 chain styles in gold-filled, sterling silver, and solid 14k gold, with the option to add a charm or connector. From anklets and dainty bracelets to trendy hand chains and even body chains, there’s something for everyone. “The hardest part is picking your chain,” Ashley jokes.Summer is the season to shine, and Ashley’s current fave? “A colorful anklet or a body chain is perfect for sundresses or swimsuits.” She’s also constantly on the move, bringing her jewelry to local events. You can catch Bespoke this summer at Drayton Mills, Tryon Equestrian Center, Market on Mill, Greer Sunday Market, and the beloved Beaufort Water Festival. One of her top picks? “I’m especially excited about the Women’s Clinic in Clemson this year!”Bespoke isn’t just about looking good—it’s about celebrating life’s little (and big) moments with the people you love. “I get a lot of best friends, bridesmaids, and mothers and daughters who come in together. One of my favorite things is when brides treat their bridal party to permanent jewelry the morning of the wedding while everyone’s getting their hair and makeup done.”Whether you’re commemorating a milestone or just adding a little sparkle to your everyday, Bespoke Permanent Jewelry is here to make your jewelry as unique as you are.READY TO BOOK YOUR OWN CUSTOM EXPERIENCE?Find Ashley on Instagram@bespokejewelry_sc, on Facebook atBespoke Permanent Jewelry, or visit her site atbespokejewelrysc.comto book your appointment. 56A COASTAL STATE OF MIND SALTWATER: COASTAL CAROLINA BY FAITH TEASLEY

Page 57

57There’s a quote in our June Summer Edit that reads, “Comparison is the thief of joy,” and after flipping through the beautiful pages of Saltwater: Coastal Carolina, I’d like to offer a little addition: joy is found in the salt air, sea breeze, and slow, simple moments. That’s exactly what Faith Teasley captures in her debut coffee table book and coastal lifestyle brand, Saltwater Collection.Faith, a Carolina girl through and through, has saltwater in her veins—literally, according to her grandmother, whose love of both the ocean and photography deeply influenced the direction of her life. “The Carolina coast has always had my heart,” she told us. “From a young age, my Grandmother told me that we had ‘saltwater in our veins.’ Her love for photography and the ocean inspired me to create Saltwater Collection—a coastal lifestyle brand featuring film photography of the Carolina coast.”And let me tell you, this isn’t just a book—it’s an experience. Saltwater: Coastal Carolina is filled with dreamy, light-soaked images from across North Carolina’s shoreline, including the famous Outer Banks, the calm waters of the Crystal Coast, and the sun-kissed surf towns of Cape Fear. But it’s more than just pretty pages. “I believe the coast isn’t just a place, but also a state of mind,” Faith says. “When creating Saltwater: Coastal Carolina, I wanted it to be an immersive experience.”It certainly is. From regional watercolor maps by Printed Hues to charming travel tips and local facts, this book is a love letter to the coast—and a heartfelt invitation to slow down and savor the moment. Faith hopes readers, no matter where they call home, “feel connected to the North Carolina coast.”One of the most touching elements of the book is a poem titled The Cottage, written by Faith and inspired by her childhood summers on the Pamlico Sound. “With summer upon us, it’s a sweet reminder of how magical relaxed, carefree days by the water can be,” she shares. And as a busy mom who’s usually running in a million directions, that reminder hits home. Sometimes we need to be pulled back to the rhythms of saltwater living—where life is a little slower and joy is found in the small things, like seashells in your pocket or sand in your shoes. So what exactly does saltwater living mean to Faith? “Slowing down and being present in the moment. Enjoying the beauty of nature around you and savoring the simple pleasures in life.”If that’s not a summer mantra, I don’t know what is.You can explore more of Faith’s coastal vision at www.saltwatercollection.com, and follow her journey on Instagram at @saltwatercollection_. Whether you’re a coast-loving Carolina girl or just dreaming of your next beach escape, this is the book that needs to be on your coffee table this summer. So here’s your official permission to slow down, take a deep breath, and soak in a little saltwater joy. Faith Teasley is showing us how..BELLE’S BOOKSHELFBY MELISSA RHINE
