Creating the heart of beautiful new homes... togetherBeko Appliance Partners’ Head of Sustainability and Quality, Steve Clarke, has recently completed the University of Cambridge’s ‘Circular Economy and Sustainability Strategies’ course, deepening our company’s understanding in this area.Through the 6-week certification course, Steve explored ways in which businesses can conduct themselves in a more sustainable way, not only through the products they sell, but also the services they offer, to make meaningful changes to support a circular model. The enhanced understanding which Steve has gained from this course has enabled him to further improve Beko’s current initiatives and commitments to enhancing the lifespan of our appliances to support a more sustainable future.Consideration of the circular economy will change how businesses conduct themselves by thinking of the services offered rather than the products sold. Our planetary resources are not infinite, and Beko understand the importance of finding a way to limit our use of non-recycled or virgin materials. Steve’s comments: “This course was an incredible experience for me personally. It was great to learn from industry professionals on how we can all support a circular economy, allowing me to identify small ways in which Beko can make a large impact and spread awareness throughout the company.I understand the importance of ensuring a collective effort is maintained in order for us as a company to contribute towards a more sustainable future.Beko and our parent company, Arçelik, are committed to this journey to achieve a truly circular model, and we are working throughout our organisations to spread the knowledge and inspire positive action. From the use of recycled parts in appliances to water saving technologies and 10 year guarantees on selected products which allow our appliances to have the longest possible lifespan, we will continue to look for new ways in which we can make a difference.”We were delighted to be a sponsor of the prestigious Insider Media Liverpool City Residential Awards, celebrating the finest new residential developments and projects currently taking shape in the Liverpool region. AI powers Grundig’s new washing machine technology, automatically and intelligently identifying the fabric type, soil level, load weight and rinse requirements to optimise detergent, energy and water use. AI-Sense washing machines have approximately 28% of the product’s weight consisting of recycled materials, providing approximately a 32% reduction in the embedded carbon footprint of the product compared to a model that doesn’t use recycled materials.Get in touch with our team now to find out more about these innovative new technologies.*Cottons, Synthetics, Xpress/ Super Express, Delicates, Mix, Handwash, Wool, Darkcare, Outdoor/Sports, Coldwash, 20°C, Drum Clean as well as additional downloadable programs.New energy-saving technologies designed to inspiresustainable living unveiled at IFA 2023 Trade FairPlacefirstBold Street, MorecambeDue for completion later this year, build-to-rent provider Placefirst’s Bold Street neighbourhood will comprise 42 one and two bedroom high efficient apartments for rent, all featuring a full suite ofBeko appliances.Legacie DevelopmentsEmbankment Exchange, ManchesterBeko appliances will feature throughout the 300 apartments in Legacie’s first skyscraper, which recently won Best Apartment/Condominium in the UK at the International Property Awards.Vision Modular /Tide ConstructionCollege Road, CroydonEurope’s tallest modular tower, and one of the world’s largest co-living schemes, houses 817 co-living apartments and 120 affordable residential units, featuring a mixture of Grundig and Beko appliances.
