Asthe 1960s dawned, the clamour for structured competitions led to the establishment of officialpublic events. Since then, the BDC has been at the forefront of organising annual competitions. Many dances that triumphed in these events have risen to championship status, serving not onlythe realm of social dancing but also as benchmarks for medal examinations and competitions. Aswe mark the 75th anniversary of the event, we celebrate the achievements of professionaldancers across the decades.Julie Pharaoh - WAPTD and Secretary
