Once you arrive and are parked at the port, a Porter(s) will meet you curbside and will be taking your suitcases. PLEASE make sure the bagtags are attached to your suitcase(s) and be sure to tip the Porter(s) at least $1/bag. Also, once you drop your bags off with the porter, thosebags will be delivered to your room in about 3-5 hours, so if you plan on changing clothes or shoes or swimming immediately, you will needto bring a small bag with whatever you need. Please DO NOT CHECK any medication or car keys! When clearing security at the port, each of you will need your boarding pass in hand as well as your identification. On the MARDI GRAS, youcan also have your app out with your digital boarding passes as well if that’s easier. Speaking of identification, please DO NOT FORGET yourpassport or Certified Birth Certificate with a RAISED SEAL (copies will not be accepted). Once you have checked-in at the counter you will then proceed onto the ship and you will find your room key on the door of your room. Youwill need to carry your actual room key when you get off the ship in ports as that will be how you scan on and off the ship. Your room key willbe used to purchase EVERYTHING on the ship (no cash allowed). When you completed your online check-in, if you chose to set up youronboard account as a CASH ACCOUNT, you will need to go to Guest Services or one of the cash kiosks near Guest Services and put cash onyour account in order to purchase anything on the ship. Also on your room key will have all the information for your dining time; what diningroom you are assigned to as well as what table you are assigned to. There are maps all around the ship or you can pick up a small foldableone to keep with you to tell you which way to go. Each night, dinner in the main dining room (which will be on your room key). You arescheduled for MyTime dining which means that you can go to dinner in the main dining room anytime between 5:30-9:00 PM.. Your diningroom assignment will be printed on your room key. Gratuities were pre-paid, so they will not be automatically be added to your onboard bill at the end of the cruise. This will cover your tips foryour room steward and everyone else on the ship. If you bought the beverage package, it also includes your bartender gratuity so you DONOT NEED to double tip for the bartenders. You are more than welcome to tip anyone that you feel gave you extra good service. A few pointers: When you first get on the ship, your room most likely will not be ready, so they will direct you to the top floor to get lunch. Justtake whatever you have with you and go enjoy lunch and they will make an announcement when your room is ready. All guess must attend the mandatory safety briefing (Muster drill) and follow all health and safety instructions ordered by the Captain. Onceyou get on the ship, you will have a window of several hours to complete your review of safety information, which for your convenience canbe found on the Royal Caribbean App once you log in under Safety. Once you complete the video, you will need to report to your musterstation to get checked off by the crew. The area where you meet for the briefing is determined by the group number on your card. The crewwill direct you to the right area. Also, at dinner each night, a little trick that most people don’t know is you can have as much of whatever you want. If you see 3 appetizers youare interested in, you can try all 3. This is very handy on formal night when they serve steak and lobster (if you want 2 lobsters – just ask for it).Your cruise has 2 formal night for dinner and 7 smart casual dinners. And on Royal Caribbean, for formal nights, you will see people VERYdressed up. It’s not required, but it is fun. There is the option to rent a tux onboard if the guys would like to for one of the formal nights. Also, you will see photographers ALL OVER THE PLACE! These pictures are FREE OF CHARGE! Take as many as you like on as many days as youlike. It’s fun and you might wind up with some great pictures! They will show you how to view your pictures in the photo gallery the day aftereach photo session and you can purchase pictures straight from there. This is super fun on the formal nights! And one more SUPERIMPORTANT tidbit of information. You can keep your phone on as the ship pulls away on the first day UNTIL you see CELLULAR AT SEA orNO SERVICE. At that point, IMMEDIATELY put it on airplane mode (that way you can still use all the features of the phone such as the cameraand connect to the ship wifi) because if you don’t, you will be hit with ROAMING charges for the entire time of your cruise and that will be asuper ugly bill when you get home. You purchased the internet package for each of you, so you can turn your phone on airplane mode andconnect to the WIFI and still be able to message people ashore. Also, if you are interested in re-booking another cruise for a later date (even into 2025), you can do so onboard and they generally give adecent sized onboard credit as a reward for re-booking while on board. You also have the opportunity to make an “open booking” which iswhere you place a $100/pp deposit ($200) with an open ticket for any cruise and then I can help you book the next cruise. ALSO, fun fact: Youcan book up to 3 of these PER PERSON and the person DOES NOT need to be onboard with you. So you can book one for friends or familyand they’ll get all the benefits as if they were onboard with you. The bookings that are made on board will come directly back to me as youragent, so just let me know when you get back if you did re-book. On the day of your return, your ship is scheduled to dock back in at 7:00 am but will then have to clear customs and port authority before it'sready for disembarkation. The night before, your room steward will leave the needed customs documents on your bed. Please fill those outand have them in your hand when you disembark. Your steward will also leave bag tags for you so when you pack your bags, you can leavethem outside your door the night before and they will take them off the ship for you and you can pick them up prior to clearing customs oryou are welcome to keep them in your room and carry them off yourself. You will be assigned a group number for disembarkation and youwill need to wait until they call your number in order to get off the ship – in the meantime they will have you wait in a designated area.Well, I think that's about it for now. Have a wonderful trip and I look forward to hearing all about your fabulous cruise and seeing all thepictures. If there’s anything you need, even while you’re on the cruise, please do not hesitate to reach out to me.

C A B I NY O U RWhile on the ship, your cabin serves as your homeaway from home. First-time cruisers often findthemselves surprised by the size of a cruise cabin, which, to put it bluntly, is small. Even the imagebelow represents a relatively large cabin. However, rest assured that a cabin provides all theessentials needed for a comfortable stay. From acozy bed and a TV to a closet and a full bathroom(equipped with a shower, although no tub unlessyou opt for larger suites), it offers everything youwould expect from a typical hotel room, albeit in amore compact space. Additional amenitiesinclude an in-room fridge, a small safe, and a hairdryer. For two adults, the size is more thansufficient, but for larger groups, it may be worthconsidering booking two cabins, despite claims ofaccommodating up to four people. Many passengers choose to upgrade to a balconycabin, and it's not hard to see why. Althoughslightly pricier than the cheapest interior cabins, having your own private balcony is a desirablefeature. Balconies are typically small, fitting twochairs and a small table. Another advantage is thathaving a balcony allows for access to fresh air, unlike interior or oceanview cabins.Throughout your trip, your cabin will be attendedto by a room steward, who will make up the roomdaily and deliver the daily schedule. They usuallywork when most passengers are out of the room, such as during dinner time, to avoid disruptingguests. On your first day aboard the ship, the steward willintroduce themselves, and you can inform them ofany specific needs or requests. Do not hesitate toask if there is anything to enhance your cruiseexperience or if you have any queries regardinghow things operate. They are always delighted toassist.C A B I N I N F O F I R S T T I M E C R U I S E G U I D E
