HEAD COACH MATT BISHOP As a former Glenn graduate and Bay County Roadrunner Coach Bishop is very excited to be back in his hometown as the Head Coach of the John Glenn Varsity Wrestling Team He returns to his Alma Mater with close to 40 years of experience in the sport After an outstanding high school career he took his talents to the Big Ten and competed for Michigan State University He finished his wrestling and college career at Grand Valley State University where he earned his college degree as well as won a National Title After wrapping up his competitive career at GVSU Bishop stepped right into the coaching arena As an assistant coach he has been on staff of four different programs that competed for team state titles two of which won multiple state titles He has been the head coach for two other high schools and has been a staff member on two national teams As the new head coach Coach Bishop hopes to establish a culture within the wrestling program that breeds athletic and academic success Coach Zach Basket Coach Basket is a first year coach for John Glenn Wrestling He is a 2019 Garber High School alum He is a 3x Tri Valley Conference champ and a 3x MHSAA Division 3 qualifier Coach Chad Briggs Coach Briggs comes to JGHS with a wealth of knowledge and coaching experience Over the past 17 years he has coached on several varsity staffs as an assistant and Head Coach of a program Notably during his 5 years as head coach at Corunna HS he earned quite a bit of success coaching 22 all state wrestlers five of which were finalists and three state champs Even though his coaching resume is littered with success in the wins and losses column his greatest honor is teaching young men and women the skills to succeed in life and honoring the trust given by parents to be a positive influence and mentor to their student athletes 6

Coach Chad Cnudde 4 year high school varsity wrestler 2 time captain Team qualified 3 of 4 years ending with a runner up finish my senior year 15 years coaching wrestling 3rd year assisting at John Glenn My goal is to help create a positive culture in and out of our wrestling room Coach Joe Foret Coach Foret comes to JGHS with a ton of experience to be our heavyweight coach In High School Joe wrestled across town at Garber High School from 2011 2014 During high school he was a 4x state qualifier finding the podium twice for a 7th and a 4th place finish He went on to wrestle heavyweight at University of Wisconsin Parkside from 2014 2018 Since graduating Joe has coached at St Joseph Catholic Central and at his Alma Mater Garber HS We are very excited and fortunate to have Joe on our staff this year Coach Jim Forgash Looking forward to the opportunity to work with coach Bishop again Back in 2008 coach Bishop brought me in as an assistant for his first head coaching job at Lakeland High School It was a learning experience that brought me back into the sport I love and the passion I have for working with kids I will bring several years of assistant coaching experience and an enthusiastic attitude to learn the wrestling philosophy coach Bishop has developed since our time together at Lakeland Wrestling experience Ferris State University three time all state with a state championship in 1987 I am excited about building an elite program at our alma mater John Glenn High School Coach Collin Weber Wrestled at Defiance College 5 years of coaching with Bay County Roadrunners 3 years coaching at CMMS 2nd year with John Glenn 7

CLASS OF 2022 ARAMIS KELLY WRESTLING Hello My name is Aramis Caleb Kelly and this will be my 5th year wrestling I am a three sport athlete wrestling football and track and take pride in giving back to my community I ve made it to day two of counties wrestling and am a regional placer in track After graduating my life goal is to go to college to become a rocket scientist I want to travel and someday be able to give my kids everything they could possibly hope for in life Camron is a three year letter earner for the Varsity Wrestling Team In 2019 he was a regional quali er Camron also plays varsity football track and lacrosse at JGHS In his free time he likes to hang out with his friends Camron has earned praise from his family for being an amazing big brother to his younger brothers In school Camron also earned accolades in welding class After high school he plans to join the Navy and pursue a career in welding WRESTLING CAMRON EAGER 16

CLASS OF 2022 When Dakota isn t wrestling he loves being with his family and friends He enjoys spending time outdoors whether it be hunting for deer duck turkey or shing up north at his family s cabin or at his favorite spot on the Kawkawlin River Dakota is a member of the National Honor Society and volunteers for the Bay County Roadrunners As a sophomore Dakota placed 6th at States at 103 pounds After graduation Dakota would like to earn a degree as a mechanical engineer and work for his family s business Bay Plastics Machinery One of his favorite memories is winning the blood round match at the State Finals Dakota is most proud to be part of the rebuild of John Glenn Wrestling WRESTLING DAKOTA FORGASH WRESTLING HUNTER PETRIMOULX 17 Hunter loves playing video games socializing with animals at the animal shelter cooking and volunteering He has received a varsity letter for being on the wrestling team these past three years After high school Hunter would like to work with animals or do something video game related Hunter s favorite John Glenn Wrestling memory was when he spent his 16th birthday with the team after one of the wrestling meets

CLASS OF 2022 WRESTLING HUNTER WINCHELL Hunter has wrestled all four years for John Glenn HS Last year he was a district champion as well as a state quali er He says his favorite memories from the last 3 years were winning counties in 2019 and Team districts in 2021 Hunter also plays on the Varsity Football team and the Varsity Lacrosse team here at JGHS When he s not training for one of his HS sports he hunts shes and loves riding motor cross In his spare time he loves hanging with his friends and playing video games He s also been known to take the eld for a softball game with his mom and step dad Once he graduates Hunter plans to get his CDL and drive truck which will allow him to see the country Besides wrestling Joey plays Varsity Football and track He enjoys hunting shing weight lifting and likes hanging with friends and family Joey is a Just for Kids Youth board member a member of National Honor Society and a football captain He was voted All Conference Offensive Lineman and in 5th Grade was voted most likely to become president Joey plans to attend college and hopefully play football while pursuing a business management degree His favorite wrestling memory was when he won the 215lb Individual Regional Champion Title WRESTLING JOEY MAIER 18

CLASS OF 2022 WYATT BOSSBACH WRESTLING Wyatt Bossbach has wrestled for three years at Glenn and also participates on the football and golf teams He s proud of being a State Quali er at 135 pounds last year in 2021 His future plans are to be a machinist at Bay Plastics Machinery Wyatt s favorite wrestling memory is everyone getting into ghts at the beginning of every practice over handball CONGRATULATIONS WISHING YOU ALL THE BEST 19
