April 2023“Aer these things, Joseph of Arimathea, who was a disciple of Jesus, though a secret one because of his fear of the Jews, asked Pilate to let him take away the body of Jesus. Pilate gave him permission; so he came and removed his body. Nicodemus, who had at rst come to Jesus by night, also came, bringing a mixture of myrrh and aloes, weighing about a hundred pounds. They took the body of Jesus and wrapped it with the spices in linen cloths, according to the burial custom of the Jews. Now there was a garden in the place where he was crucied, and in the garden there was a new tomb in which no one had ever been laid. And so, because it was the Jewish day of Preparaon, and the tomb was nearby, they laid Jesus there.” 

Ms. Jessica's 2 year old classEven though we are coming to the end of the year Ms. Jessica's terrific twos are as busy as ever. Our class has an equal mix of 6 girls and 6 boys who keep me laughing all the time. We are learning so many new things; letters, counting, shapes and colors. One of the kid's favorite activities is Fun Friday when we get together with the other two year old classes and do an activity related to the letter of the week. We have played with bubbles (letter B), had a dance party (letter D), played with a parachute (letter P) and participated in a scavenger hunt (letter S) just to name a few. This year we have read many bible stories teaching us how much God loves and cares for us. Our bible verse for the month of April is John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.". We are looking forward to celebrating Easter with an egg hunt and a special chapel service. We have all grown so much since August and have made special friendships along the way. It has been fun playing with friends, listening to stories, doing art projects and our favorite singing and dancing.
