SFO REACH CUSTOMER HOSPITALITY BOARDING AREAS A & GSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe Customer Hospitality Boarding Areas A & G project at SFO involves two projects to upgrade facilities in the International Terminal Building (ITB) in keeping with SFO’s guiding REACH principles. The interim project involved a fast-track strategic refresh of pre-security food courts (ten concessionaires) and five public concourse areas in Boarding Areas A and G, entailing ceiling, lighting, and furnishing improvements in the food court areas as well as new seating, planting, and convenience power in the concourse areas. The interim project provided the foundation for the more comprehensive and transformative work of the subsequent ITB Ph. I Project, which involves improvements to the passenger concourse and recompose areas, a refresh of holdrooms, and a new exterior terrace at the end of Boarding Area G. The team replaced LED signs at all ITB ticket counters and curb departures/arrivals, and provided post-security public access to an existing airlines club on the 5th level.Square Feet: 43,005Client: Airport Commission of City and County of San FranciscoWEBCOR

SALESFORCE TRANSIT CENTERSAN FRANCISCO, CASalesforce Transit Center is a modern regional transit hub connecting eight Bay area counties and the state of California through 11 transit systems. Coined the “Grand Central Station of the West”, the project replaces the former Transbay Terminal at First and Mission Streets with a ground-up, concrete, and steel transportation and recreation project. It includes one structure with four levels above grade and two levels below grade, designed by Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects.Bus access to the transit center is provided via a cable stay bridge which connects the Bay Bridge to the Transit Center’s elevated bus deck level. Built by the Webcor Obayashi Joint Venture and operated by the Transbay Joint Powers Authority, the center accommodates 100,000 passengers each weekday and up to 45 million people annually. In addition to providing access to a variety of transit systems, the project includes a 5.4-acre public rooftop park featuring an amphitheater, restaurants/retail, playground, and fountains, as well as a wide variety of natural beauty via signature landscaping design. The park is accessible by stairs, escalators, and elevators to a gondola on Mission Street and sky bridges from adjacent high-rise towers. The Transit Center is divided into three segments that will behave independently during a seismic event. The three building segments are connected by seismic separation joints whose wider movement range can accommodate the vertical and horizontal motion of the segments during an earthquake. Signature architectural and art elements adorn the building’s exterior, which is wrapped with a metal awning that features the Penrose Pattern – a continuous non-repeating pattern derived from a mathematical formula developed by Dr. Penrose and is used for free by his permission.Square Feet: 1,200,000Client: San Francisco Department of Public Works Sustainability: LEED GoldWEBCOR 19Z

RENO-TAHOE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (RNO) CONSOLIDATED RENTAL CAR FACILITY & GROUND TRANSPORTATION CENTER RENO, NVThe Reno-Tahoe International Airport (RNO) consolidated rental car facility (ConRAC) and ground transportation center is a new concrete facility delivered as a general contracting joint venture with Q&D Construction within a Public-Private-Partnership (P3) contract model. In 2016, RNO commenced a master planning process for the airport, which resulted in a key finding: the need for additional parking and space to support growth of rental car operations. The ConRAC will accommodate steadily increasing rental car demand, generate revenue for the airport, and alleviate existing public parking from rental car use. It's also planned to be the first facility in the country to accommodate a 100% electric rental car fleet. The scope entails enabling projects to prepare the site, a four story garage structure, circulation for rideshare and taxi services, as well as a 600ft-length pedestrian walkway connecting to the terminal.Square Feet: 250,000Client: Reno-Tahoe Aviation AuthorityWEBCOR

SFO CONSOLIDATED ADMINISTRATION CAMPUSSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe SFO Consolidated Administration Campus (CAC) is a steel ground-up project designed by Perkins&Will. AMEX CENTURION LOUNGE RENOVATION & EXPANSION AT SFOSAN FRANCISCO, CAThe project supports the continued growth of the American Express brand and its iconic Centurion Lounges. Webcor completed the work in two phases, all within the fully operational Terminal 3 environment at SFO.
