We’re thrilled to spotlight Danielle Darden as our July Member Highlight!Danielle joined us recently, having been referred by our dear YPG friendJency Zephirin. With a passion for making a difference, Danielle, who runsher own Transformation Mindset Coaching business, was eager to shareher expertise and get involved with our community.Danielle immediately stepped up as an advisor for our Family Day ofService School Supplies for Success’s Mental Wellness Kit project. Hercontributions included providing uplifting words of affirmation for ouraffirmation jars that will be distributed at an upcoming Operation SchoolBell on Wheels service day.Danielle, thank you for your dedication to supporting the children we serveand for helping us emphasize the importance of mental health in everydaylife. We appreciate your enthusiasm and commitment to our mission!In July, YPG took a well-deserved break to reset and plan for theupcoming membership year, but that doesn’t mean we stoppedhaving fun!A huge shoutout to all our incredible YPG members who contributedto our recent Family Day of Service: School Supplies for Successevent.Kelly Christopher and Leslie Gonzalez, thank you for recruitingyour work colleagues to make the event even more special.Shannon Reider and Leslie Gonzalez, we appreciate youorganizing the school supply kits at your workplaces before theevent.Danielle Darden, your collaboration on our Affirmation Jarproject will undoubtedly make a meaningful impact on the kidswe support.It truly takes a village to help our children, and your dedicationmakes all the difference. We arelooking for a Preschool Teacher, PreschoolReceptionist/Teacher Assistant, and a CRVC ReferralSpecialist. Please spread the word!Our nationally accredited Preschool Learning Center has awaitlist of new students. If you love children join the Preschoolas a Preschool Teacher or Receptionist/ Teacher Assistant.Our Court Referred Volunteer Center (CRVC) program is theleader among Los Angeles County Community Service ReferralAgency (CSRA) programs. Due to increasing clientparticipation in the program, an additional Referral Specialistwill be hired. We’re excitedabout the new opportunities on the horizon, including multiple volunteer events benefiting allfive of the League’s programs and potential new collaborations with both corporate andcommunity partners.To help our members stay organized and engaged, we’re introducing a year-long YPG eventscalendar. This calendar will assist you in preparing for your volunteer activities throughout theyear. While all events are currently scheduled to be held at our Chapter House in Hollywood,please note that they are subject to change. As always, we’ll continue our popular “Stretch andServe” on the first Saturday morning of every month and our “Sip and Serve” on the thirdThursday evening of every month.We’re also on the lookout for two leadership positions: Events Chair and CommunityConnector Chair. We’ll share more details soon, but in the meantime, join us at our “End ofSummer Mixer” on August 22nd to learn more about these exciting opportunities and more!
