NEWS FROM THE CHURCHES FBC, Hugo- reports 4 salvations at their Vacation Bible School. There was an average of 76 students and 49 workers, totaling an average of 125 in attendance each evening. FBC, Hugo- Jamie Andereg has resigned as Music Minister. FBC, Soper- will have a concert featuring the band Signed, Sealed, and Delivered on August 3rd at 6:00 p.m. Oak Grove Baptist- is seeking a Music Leader/ Choir Director. Finley P.O. Box 888, Hugo OK. 74743 580.326.9625 VBS DATES THAT HAVE BEEN REPORTED AUGUST 5-9 Trinity Idabel The Nailbenders team has taken on a new project at First Baptist Church of Honobia. As shown above, the roof is in need of replacing. We will be installing pre-cut and pre-measured metal that is ready to be layed on the existing roof. You just need to be able to climb a ladder and work a Dewalt screw gun. Anyone willing to volunteer their time to help our fellow church in need is encouraged to contact Jerry Thurman, Director of the Nailbenders team, at (580) 579-4909. This project is scheduled for a September timeframe. OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE We will be having extensive training at KBA on August 23-24 for new volunteers and badge renewals. Training will include: Bucket Lift, Skidsteer, Chainsaw, Mud/Ash Out, Cooking, Assessor, and Chaplain. The Frisco Cabin will be available for overnight lodging. Don’t miss this opportunity with it being so close to home. Preregister here: https://www.okdisasterhelp.org/volunteer-training/ I have coordinated a SE Oklahoma Tax Seminar with WatersEdge for October 1st at Southside Baptist Church in Atoka. In His Service, Bro. Mark The Frisco Association cabin hosted a total of 143 campers, sponsors and cooks for both weeks at Kiamichi Baptist Assembly in July. Camp wide for all four weeks of associational camp we had 2,898 campers, 178 salvations, 136 rededications, and 25 calls to service. Dr. Mark A. Boyd
