Wewill explore architectural sites and studypaintings and sculptures in their originallocations. Museum field trips allow close-upexamination of original masterpieces byBotticelli, Leonardo, Raphael, Michelangelo,and many others.We will visit Venice, a UNESCO WorldHeritage site surrounded by sparkling waterreflecting architectural wonders. We willattend the Venice Biennale, the world’smost important exhibition of contemporaryart, in addition to visiting many historicalsites and the islands of glass and lace. Thecity is filled with unique experiences,influences, and important works of art fromTitian to Jackson Pollock.By the end of the program, students willhave gained a rich understanding andappreciation for the interconnection of art,culture, and history. Studying abroad is atransformative experience and studentsgain self-confidence and self-reliance innew environments and a new perspectiveon the world. Most importantly, memorableexperiences and close friendships willcontinue to impact participants' lives.
