INGREDIENTSCooking spray2 cups all-purpose flour1/2 tsp. kosher salt1/2 tsp. baking soda1/2 cup (1 stick) butter, softened1 cup honey3 large eggs1/4 tsp. almond extract1/2 cup sour creamPowdered sugar, for servingof the month:CLASSIC HONEY CAKEDIRECTIONSPreheat oven to 350°. Line a 9” round cake panwith parchment and grease with cooking spray.In a large bowl, whisk together flour, salt, andbaking soda. In another large bowl, using a hand mixer, beatbutter and honey together until butter is smoothand mixture is light and creamy. Add eggs, oneat a time, beating well after each addition, thenadd almond extract. Add dry ingredients andbeat until just barely combined, then add sourcream and beat until just combined. Pour batter into prepared cake pan and bakeuntil a toothpick inserted in the middle comesout clean, 35 minutes. Let cool. Serve as is or with a dusting of powderedsugar.
