From the President3Michelle Moe WitteBAR-O-METER | APR 2025As President of the WBA, it is both a personal and collective honor to celebrate the incredible individualswho have reached a milestone that truly reflects a lifetime of dedication, leadership, and mentorship. Thismonth, we come together to recognize our new Lifetime Members—attorneys who, over the course oftheir distinguished careers, have given so much to the WBA and to the legal profession as a whole. These individuals are more than just remarkable legal minds. They are mentors, they are guides, and theyare the voices of wisdom that have shaped the very foundation of the WBA. They represent the very bestof who we are, and what we can all aspire to become. For many of us, the path to success in our careers has been shaped by the steady influence of those whocame before us. And for many of our newest Lifetime Members, that path has been paved by awillingness to give back—to share their knowledge, to support others, and to offer a steady hand whenwe needed it most. They’ve been the ones who made sure we didn’t give up, the ones who reminded usthat the work we do has purpose, and the ones who showed us that leadership isn’t just about what youaccomplish, but about how you uplift those around you.As we honor these new Lifetime Members, we’re not just acknowledging their years of service to the WBA.We’re celebrating the impact they’ve had on countless individuals, including many of us. They’vementored us, helped us grow, and sometimes even challenged us to be better than we thought we couldbe. Their contributions have not only helped to build the WBA, but they’ve helped to build a stronger, more accessible legal community that will continue to serve the needs of our community for years tocome. But their legacy isn’t just about what they’ve done for us. It’s about the countless ways they’ve touchedlives beyond the WBA. Whether it’s been through pro bono work, community service, or simply standingup for what is right, these Lifetime Members have exemplified the very values we hold dear in ourprofession: justice, integrity, and service to others. They’ve shown us that the law isn’t just about rulesand procedures; it’s about making a difference in the lives of real people. To our new Lifetime Members, thank you. Thank you for your tireless dedication to our profession, thankyou for your leadership, and thank you for showing us what it means to serve with heart. You’ve set thebar high for all of us, and we are forever grateful for the example you’ve set. This recognition is a small token of our appreciation for everything you’ve done and continue to do. As wemove forward, we know that your wisdom and experience will continue to guide us, and we are honoredto work alongside you.Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition, and thank you for your lifetime of service. Your legacywill continue to inspire, to teach, and to lead for generations to come. With gratitude,MichelleHonoring Our Lifetime Members: A Legacy of Leadership and Service
