April 2022 My first year in Victoria I didn t get to celebrate Easter the conventional way with all of you in the sanctuary because COVID was running rampant Last year we had Easter services but many were still unable to attend and we remained masked and distanced It would be an understatement to say that I am really really really looking forward to Easter this year Not only that we also have a wonderful Holy Week planned beginning with Palm Sunday In the traditional services we will process with palms and shout our Hosannahs Also I ve been working with Mike Mercer to present a powerful Passion Narrative presentation that will set up our journey into Holy Week and on to Easter In addition to our traditional Palm Passion Sunday celebration we will also celebrate 10 years of contemporary worship in IGNITE It is my understanding that IGNITE began on Palm Sunday 2012 So even if you attend one of the traditional services stick around and celebrate with IGNITE at 11 00 or immediately following that service Maundy Thursday will be a service of Holy Communion in the sanctuary at 6 00PM and Good Friday will be in the sanctuary also at 6 00PM These services truly prepare us to experience the joy of Easter in a most profound way Easter is such a beautiful day but without the crucifixion it means very little These next few weeks are the story of our salvation and the lengths to which our loving Father has gone to ensure our place with Him in the kingdom Passion and Resurrections blessings Pastor Wade
