What will we do?You can help make a difference by becoming a “Community Researcher”by sharing this project with your neighbors and solving problems together.How?Why?What is it?• Working with community members, Community Empowerment Association and Pitt Public Health will host a series of “Neighborhood Conversation” meetings to share information and data about health. • We will learn what community members feel are the health-related challenges that members of their community are facing. • Community Empowerment Association and Pitt Public Health are working together to address why some people are dying early in the Homewood, McKeesport, and Clairton neighborhoods.• Life expectancy in Homewood, McKeesport, and Clairton is 11-15 years shorter than that of some other neighborhoods in Allegheny County.• We want your voice to be heard so we can make a change in our community.What is the expected outcome?• Community members from your neighborhood, CEA, and Pitt Public Health will develop tools and resources to help create a culture of health and wellbeing.
